Family

So, I created a character with no name and only half an idea, and then within a few weeks this grew into a backstory where she has an entire FAMILY with no names and slightly more than half an idea

Characters from left to right:

Dad is a chef and runs a restaurant with his wife. He loves flair, experimenting, and trying new things. He is the "fun dad" and is a bit of a child at heart. Prone to accidentally burning off his eyebrows. Always tests his food concoctions on his family - sometimes to their liking, sometimes not. Teaches all his kids to cook and all the fun things they can do with firebending.

Mom runs the business side of the restaurant, and is generally the level-headed one. She loves to paint, and though she can cook she usually lets her husband do it. She lets the kids (and her husband) do pretty much whatever as long as no one is seriously hurt - though she prefers that most firebending is done OUTSIDE the house. She taught all the kids firebending basics.

The oldest brother (wearing the helmet) is the responsible oldest child. He is very proud of all his younger siblings. He's particularly close to and protective of his closest brother, the second oldest. He is the first to join the Fire Nation army. When his youger brother joins, he is rather afraid for him.
He dies in battle at age 21.

The second oldest looks up to his older brother and really dotes on his baby brother. He greets his brothers primarily with a punch to the arm or a slap on the back. He carries his baby brother around on his shoulders or back all the time - even as adults. He likes children and even from a young age wanted his own - he is the first to have them. He's the kind of dad to his kids that his dad is to him - fun, a bit of a kid himself, always a little dramatic, shows them all the cool stuff he knows - just with less food. A pretty laid-back and happy dude, especially for a firebender.
Age: 18 (top), 36 (bottom)

The youngest (as a toddler) just really wants to wear his big brother's cool helmet and tries his best to imitate his brothers' firebending moves. He's cute and loud, and loves to ride on his brother's shoulders. As an adult, he is the most interested in being a chef like his father, and works alongside him in the kitchen every day. While not as adventurous with food as his dad, he does like to experiment and create new dishes.
Age: 3 (top), 21 (bottom)

The middle son is the most unlike the rest of his siblings - while he knows HOW to cook, he does not have the same love for it as his siblings. Instead, his true passion is firebending. He has a short temper and serious disposition, but still loves his family and all their crazy antics. He does play several instruments with a reasonable level of proficiency. As a teenager, he is a bit moody and just wants time alone away from the constant noise of his siblings. He looks up to his older brothers and is protective of his younger sisters. He spends his free time practicing his firebending. As an adult, he has achieved his dream of becoming a firebending master. He is the only one of the family that can generate lightning. He trains a few adults, no children, as he knows he does not have the patience to train them properly. He is married, but has no children.

The younger daughter is the artist of the family. In contrast to her older brother, her main interest in firebending is how she can use it to create things. She enjoys the creativity of cooking, but loves it best when she can do it with her father or sister. As a child, she has a tendency to run off alone a lot and climb trees or pick flowers for her mother. She loves to decorate things. As an adult, she works primarily as host/server but also does some prep cooking (it's a family-run business, there's not many employees). Though she's quiet, she is the most customer-service oriented of the bunch. As such, she prefers being out front in the restaurant to being in the kitchen like her younger brother. She has also redesigned their menus and redecorated the restaurant.

Finally, the older sister, who started this whole thing off!
Like her father and baby brother, she loves cooking and experimenting with food, though she prefers to do so for her own enjoyment rather than aspiring to run the restaurant someday. She has an artistic bent like her sister, loves painting like her mother, and even is interested in dancing, but is more self-conscious about it and keeps her art to herself more. She is bossy and independent, and tends to take charge of situations she ends up in. As a child, she and her sister were inseperable, and she made her sister do everything with her. Like her dad, she would concoct strange dishes (usually mixing together whatever she could find in the kitchen) and made her sister try them.
