Personality

Rosa Lee is lively and vibrant, with an infectious upbeat attitude. Despite being a married woman in her early thirties, she is very in touch with the current trends and fashion. She's able to stay up-to-date with what's chic and stylish, and every week Rosa and her friends meet to drink tea and discuss new clothing styles and gossip. She is a waitress at Richard’s, and can be seen (or heard, rather) doing more talking than waiting. She has a tendancy to run her mouth, rarely leaving in space for others to get a word in edgewise. Her helpful and altruistic nature comes across in her willingness to lend a hand, no matter how big or small the task, or whether they asked at all. Rosa is dependable and protective, and always sees things through. She gives advice of varying use to her coworkers Annie and Susan, and is always the first to get her opinion in on their daily struggles. As well-intentioned as she may be, she more often than not comes off as overbearing and somewhat invasive. This can get annoying to her friends and even husband, who opt to just ignore her when she starts to prattle on. Her husband, Clark, is the town's doctor and he runs the local practice. Their relationship is a close one, and they love each other dearly, having been smitten with each other since early high school. While Rosa Lee is nurturing and supportive towards her friends and husband, her judgmental and critical attitude towards people she deems undesirable displays her stubborn and scrutinizing nature. She has had a constant grievance against Jesse Sanders, ever since he borrowed a textbook in 8th grade and lost it. Her ability to pick out miscreants extends beyond just petty grudges however, as her long-standing hatred for the likes of Nancy and her associates is perfectly reasonable.

Biography

The middle child of three sisters, Rosa Lee had a rather uneventful upbringing. As she grew older though, the greater accomplishments of her sisters began to bother her, and she became somewhat bitter. She had been married first, but couldn't have children, and this fostered her altruistic nature, giving her an interest in reaching out to and helping others. When Susan moved to town, she generously allowed her to stay in the Parish home until she could live on her own. She took Susan under her wing, and took great pleasure in showing her around, and teaching her things. The two eventually became fast friends, even though her overprotective and nosy nature can occasionally get in the way.

When Rosa Lee was 14, Jesse Sanders (who she never liked anyway) borrowed her English textbook, and never returned it. He made a different excuse every time he was confronted about it, but in reality, he had simply lost it. Rosa never forgot about this (although Jesse did), and she uses it against him to this day. It's not bad enough that Jesse is an alcoholic jerk, he also lost Rosa Lee's English textbook, and that is simply unforgiveable.

Rosa Lee drives a baby blue 1945 Plymouth Special Deluxe.

Appearance

Rosa is 5'5", and has curly red hair. She has taupe plumage with lighter speckles, and blue eyes. Her work uniform is a red blouse, blue skirt, white apron and brown shoes. Her favorite outfit consists of a red and white polka-dotted dress with a light blue blouse underneath, and black shoes. She always wears a headband with a purple feather sticking out.

Rosa Lee is very protective of her friends, and more than unkind to her enemies. She stands up for herself and others, and can hold her own in a verbal confrontation.

Weaknesses

Rosa Lee holds eternal grudges, and can be very intrusive and sometimes annoying with her endless talking. It can sometimes be hard to get a word in edgewise when speaking to her. It is also near impossible to get her to change her mind on anything, and she will only ever change her mind on her own terms.
