Personality

Rob is a member of St. Thomas’ baseball team, and a longtime acquaintance of Toby, Gabe, and Mike. While he can joke around and banter with his friends, he's sensitive to teasing and can react strongly, even when it comes from his own circle. He is less principled than his friends, willing to do unethical things and cross boundaries that even the immature Mike and Gabe would find wrong. He is somewhat of a bad influence on Mike and Gabe, and is someone that Toby has reluctantly begun to distance himself from. Rob also often ropes Mike and Gabe into stealing things from convenience stores, smoking cigarettes, and drinking alcohol. Rob's aggressive response to insults could be related to his poor home life or personal feelings of embarrassment. This might explain his readiness to respond aggressively, whether he was challenged or not. As a result he is not well liked by the other students at St. Thomas, and is usually avoided by most. Rob's mix of touchiness, negative influence, and sensitivity makes him a complex figure who is both part of his friends' circle and a source of tension within it.

Biography

Rob lives in one of the oldest neighborhoods in town in a small house. His father is a salesman, and is away from home weeks at a time. This has been the case since Rob was young, and has negatively impacted his development during his youth. His mother is an alcoholic, and unreliable to do things such as shopping or cleaning. It is bad enough to where, as a young kid, Rob had to walk across town to get to school because his mother was usually passed out or hungover in the mornings and unable to drive him. He has always had to fend for himself, and still does, a fact which leads to a lot of his aggression.

Appearance

Rob is 5'7", making him the same height as Toby. He has light brown hair, which is buzzed and usually concealed by a cap. He has dark brown fur with beige around the edges of his face, and brown eyes. His most common outfit outside of school is a yellow button-up with the sleeves rolled up, brown slacks, and black sneakers. He doesn't have very many clothes, so he often wears the same outfit multiple times a week.

Skills and Abilities

Rob holds himself to no standards, and likes to play dirty. This sometimes gives him an edge over certain other rule-abiding people in competitions, fights, and other areas of life. He plays the role of center-field in baseball.

Weaknesses

Rob has a very short temper, and tends to take every remark someone will make seriously. He also has little regard for rules or even safety, taking unnecessary risks and doing unethical things. Rob is known to hold grudges as well, and refuses to let things go.
