What a neglected character. Patty is Jesse’s old flame from high school that left him to pursue an acting career. 13 years later, her career never started, and with nowhere left to go, she ashamedly returns home. She is just as pathetic as Jesse is, but much more bitter. I have a scene in mind where the two run into each other at a bar and don’t even recognize one another, just sitting next to each other and drinking respectfully. It would be amusing since Jesse had dwelled on that abrupt breakup for so long, and when he finally reunites with the only woman he’s ever been in a relationship with, he doesn’t even know it’s her. It just totally goes over both of their heads. They might even get along.
