Personality

Nicholas doesn’t possess many talents. His role as a hall monitor might suggest a sense of authority, but he abuses this power to serve his personal interests, allowing himself to come and go as he pleases, often to bother his crush, Annie. Ignoring the fact that she’s already taken, his wimpy and diminutive appearance isn’t the main reason for her rejection, with Nicholas's negative personality traits likely contributing to her lack of interest. Driven by jealousy and a desire to prove himself, he often targets those he deems more popular or fortunate than him. His sarcastic and snarky nature, combined with his penchant for scheming, showcases his manipulative side. His petty hatred towards those more popular or fortunate than him culminates in various schemes to usurp those he deems undeserving of their status. Abusing his powers as a hall monitor, he’ll report anyone he has a problem with, and making up lies that the school staff will believe because of his perfect reputation of never getting in trouble and having exceptional grades. The Royals are naturally the only ones he never tangles with. In exchange for letting them skip school whenever they want, and ignoring any bad deeds he witnesses them commit, Nicholas is rewarded with exemption from the normal physical torment the greasers like to dish out. Besides that, they have a similar goal, and to snitch on them would only be setting all of them back. The cottontail sees no issue in bending rules if it means his enemies suffer as a result. His alignment with The Royals and their common goal highlights his strategic thinking, even if it means ignoring their behavior to achieve his aims. His willingness to use his perfect reputation and authority as a hall monitor to manipulate situations, combined with his desire for revenge, makes him a complex figure who uses his position for his own agenda.

Biography

Nicholas is one year older than his sisters, Mallory and Gladys, but has always lived in their shadows. They have been taller than him for several years now, have more accomplishments than him, more friends, and they tease him constantly for it. To make matters worse, they were moved up a grade by request of their parents, putting them in the same school together. Here, their achievements weigh more heavily on him than ever, and drives him even further towards his scheming ways.

His parents run the phone billing office in town, and are suitably wealthy. Nicholas sometimes helps out in the office, but his parents remain distant and unnurturing.

Appearance

Nicholas is 5'5", making him much shorter than his younger sisters. He has red, neatly combed hair which is parted to the side. His fur is cream-colored, and his eyes are brown. He wears bold eyeglasses, and outside of school he dresses nicely all the time, usually with long-sleeved dress shirts, pressed dress pants, wingtip shoes, and occasionally a tie and jacket.

Skills and Abilities

Nicholas is sharp as a tack, a good negotiator, and possesses good book smarts. He always knows how to manipulate a situation in his favor, and when he can't he knows when to sneakily slip away.

Weaknesses

Nicholas is cowardly, tries avoiding all confrontation, and resorts to underhanded tactics and trickery to get ahead of others. Possibly his most glaring flaw however, is his inferiority complex. Between a lifetime of being teased by his sisters, and feeling emasculated compared to other guys his age, he feels a need to prove his superiority to others all the time, even if they don't care at all.
