Personality 

Mike is a lively and light-hearted joker with a penchant for juvenile humor. He's not ashamed to tell the truth and admit that no matter how mature you think you are, there's nothing funnier than good ol' slapstick. As he's witnessed Toby's maturation over the years, he wishes he would be more honest with himself and laugh at something for once. This doesn't mean he's purely a joker though, as despite his comedic tendencies, Mike has a more serious side, as evidenced by his consistent relationship with his girlfriend Deidra. He knows when to stop the laughter and transition from lightheartedness to a more sincere and committed attitude when needed; it just happens that it takes longer for him to get to that point. When he isn't laughing at double-entendres and people getting hit in the head with things, he's also very charismatic. He has a charming personality, and is aware of this, making use of it to manipulate situations in his favor. This side of him doesn't come out often though, as pranks and practical jokes usually take priority.

Biography

Mike is an only child, and the son of fairly wealthy parents. His father, Earl, is the foreman of the Cooper-Lane Quarry, a very prestigious title. It's his family's comfortable position which often makes them the envy of other families, as well as being despised by the greasers. Despite this, the three-member family lives in a fairly modest house, and Mike himself doesn't brag about his family's wealth very often (although this might be because everybody is already aware that the Deans are well-off). He has been friends with Toby and Gabe since kindergarten.

Appearance

Mike is 5'10", making him the tallest of his friends, and that's not counting his antlers (which he often includes). He has dark brown hair, which is neatly groomed to the side where it comes to a slight curl. He has dusty brown fur with a white muzzle, forearms, legs, and chest/belly. He also has infrequent splotches of these colors which resemble freckles. His most common outfit outside of school consists of a vertical green and white-striped button-up shirt, dark green slacks, and black tennis shoes. He typically dresses preppy, with short-sleeved button-ups tucked into his pants.

Skills and Abilities

Mike is a member of the high school's baseball and tennis teams, taking up the position of third-baseman. He doesn't take sports too seriously though, and mostly enjoys them for fun rather than competition. He is possibly even better when it comes to smooth-talking though, able to convince people of things with ease.

Weaknesses

Confident as he may be, the one thing Mike seems to be most proud of is his biggest weakness: his antlers. They are constantly getting tangled in things, stuck in things, and are the reason he can't play football. Despite the massive hinderance they can be, they are still a source of pride, something which makes him feel distinguished and confident. In fact, he even feels emasculated when he loses them in the winter.

While never working in any official capacity, Mike has done extensive apprentice-work for his father at the quarry. He doesn't like the dirtier aspects of the job, but does enjoy managing people.
