“Gargoyles are silent stone sentinels, resembling ordinary statues of twisted and hideous creatures. At night however, they come to life and take flight. Bound to the grounds they reside in, they must always return to their original spots before the sun rises again. Fueled by anguish, Gargoyles attack anything they see out of rage for the curse that was set upon them by the good clerics of the world, centuries ago before The Calamity. Originally, Gargoyles were the followers of Malchoir and pupils of his dark magic. Whenever one of their cultish temples were overthrown by other kingdoms, the royal priests would personally condemn the captured followers to an eternity bound to the very temples they practiced black magic in, and only becoming capable of movement at night.”
