Personality

Archie lives in his own world most of the time, as he has a vivid imagination and a strong affinity for fiction. He loves comic books most of all, and is also a fan of sci-fi movies and novels. He often daydreams in school, and is easily distracted when being talked to, or when he's supposed to be doing work. This can lead to frustration with his friend Nicholas, who likes to go on long rants with people he knows will agree with him. He doesn't have much of an interest in drama, so whatever Nicholas is talking about usually goes in one ear and out the other. His childlike innocence and disregard for concepts like status or dating highlights a genuine and uncomplicated nature, as he doesn’t fully grasp or concern himself with such matters. School isn't the only place where Archie's mind wanders, as he works part time at the Empire Theater, where he makes popcorn and sells candy. This job lets him realize his enthusiasm for cinema, as it gives him an employee discount, something he takes great advantage of when he isn't working. He usually pays for his friends Nicholas and Eddie when they all go to see movies together. His willingness to treat his friends to movies demonstrates his generosity and the strong bond he shares with them. Overall, Archie's imaginative and simple-minded nature adds some much needed positivity to his friend group.

Biography

Archie was friends with Eddie first, and eventually met Nicholas while riding bikes behind the phone billing office one day when they were 10. Nicholas was taking the trash out when Eddie rode down the alley, and they hit it off. Eventually introducing him to Archie, the three have been friends ever since. Archie's father is a construction worker, and his mother teaches the 4th grade.

Appearance

Archie is only 5'3", seemingly not having gone through a growth spurt yet. He is chubby, and his 'hair' consists of wild brown quills that stick up in every direction. He wears low, triangular glasses, and his eyes are brown. Outside of school he dresses conservatively, wearing sweaters, khakis, and black tennis shoes.

Skills and Abilities

Archie is a casual artist, and while not the best, he is still happy with his work of doodling superheroes and radioactive monsters. While he does get made fun of a lot, he never takes it as an insult, always giving a neutral (or oblivious) reaction. This is very much intentional, as he knows that he would only make things worse by talking back. He may have a childlike nature, but still has some underlying, simple wisdom.

Weaknesses

Archie is incapable of holding a serious conversation; it is either beyond him, he doesn't care, or both. The aforementioned lack of focus he has also plays a part in this as well. Archie also doesn't know how to stick up for himself, and is largely unreceptive when getting picked on. This can be a good thing, but if things ever get worse, he wouldn't know what to do.
