Ancient Susan

Here’s a very old drawing of Susan from 2016. This is when she started to resemble her modern incarnation. It was also only about this time that I thought she should be a waitress. The story at the time only consisted of Susan, Richard, Lynn, proto-Jesse, Avery, and a character that would eventually be reworked into Barnes. It was way more lighthearted and cartoony, and centered around a greedy land-developer and his wife trying to buy up property, and a mad chase for proto-Jesse to get the deed to his house back. It was about as good as it sounds, and I’m hesitant to show any art from this time because it’s all so bad and embarrassing. This one here is easily one of the better ones though. Granted, I was 14, but I can’t bring myself to do it for most of them. Looking through my old sketchbooks, I’m just glad I’m not as cringy as I was then (Can you believe it’s already been seven years?). I still have the first ten or so pages of the comic I made and I doubt I’ll ever share them online.
