Ok I don't wanna break hearts or minds but I heard in japan Levi might die in season 2 i so hope they are joking, but I see this picture and it all comes back :'S
"..." *places hand on back* *breathes in* "Levi... did you know? When the sun goes down, the stars come out." *smiles a little* "Don't lose hope, alright?" *looks up with him* "You were given this kind of life because you are strong enough to live it."
This is amazing and I could totally see this happening. Levi always puts off a strong and confident persona but that hard exterior he's built will eventually come crumbling down. Everyone is afraid of something. I wouldn't even be emotionally effected if he got killed off because the author kills characters like flies. I have no doubt this will happen at some point.
I still doubt it. I mean, with the exception of Levi's squad (for the time being) neither any major character nor many characters which the audience has followed for several episodes (at least 2 to 3 or more) and been given more than 15 seconds of fame have been killed off (or so I recall) at least in the show.
I don't find it anywhere near as bad as say Code Geass (which if you haven't seen then don't continue reading this) where they killed off Euphie and Shirley just to name a few characters that died. So, I'm not exactly sure why so many people are down with the creator of the manga in regards to the life expectancy of characters. I assure you there's been worse in other shows, games, and movies.
Of course, again it will probably all come down in to the finale of the next season (well assuming the manga doesn't stretch things out ridiculously) which I think is a safe bet to say is going to be crazy as hell. Certainly those who are titans with the possible exception of Eren will probably die. It just all depends on that and if it does, I won't be as bothered that it happened by the end unless of course they want to give us some kind of ending equivalent to that in the End of Evagelion.... That would suck.
you're right, but snk doesn't have nearly as many characters as code geass had, and it's not like the mangaka hasn't been trying to kill the few characters left, shit his editor is the only one keeping them alive. let's just thank god they haven't pulled a death note and killed every main character yet.
That is true, Code Geass had way too many characters so it didn't come to me as either a surprise or shock that pretty much at least one character was going to be killed off every other episode pretty much.
Again my main concern is killing off characters that the story runs with (i.e. main characters and repeating supporting characters). This obviously has to be handled with care else there pretty much won't be a story left to tell unless you bring in new characters who we probably won't know nor at this rate may care since they'll probably be killed off too.
As long as it won't be one of those every one pretty much dies endings, I probably won't mind.
I agree. Actually, when I drew this it wasn't about Levi dying. More about...just kind of giving up. I guess you can see it as dying in a sense, but eh... It's up to interpretation I guess.
And I think it depends how far we get in terms of storyline for season 2. And where the plot goes, because it can go a lot of ways from where we are now.
I don't think he'll die, or at least they'll show him dying. I think it would be best if they made it seemed he died without having to show it and perhaps give the barest hint at the end somewhere that he managed to barely to live possibly. One thing is for sure, I don't want to see him mangled to death or something like that.
Lolol the typical "missing in action" ending. I don't think he'll die either. Too much of a main character, honestly. And he has his nickname for a reason. Not to say that he's invincible, but it's pretty improbable. I don't think it's possible to predict anything with very much conviction when it comes to Isayama
Didn't know that's what those kinds of endings are called. I don't think they're that typical or at least I can't think of any I've seen recently or for a while.
I'm not sure... I've seen quite a lot of those types, not that they're bad. In fact some of them are really well executed. But I won't call them out because spoilers ^_^
My friend hadn't reached that certain heartbreaking scene with Levi's squad yet, so when I hinted that something bad was going to happen she started freaking out and asking if Levi dies. I told her he didn't (and man was she RELIEVED), but that made me think...
If Levi dies -- IF LEVI DIES I think there is seriously going to be a riot. His character is very blunt and straightforward and yet it's because of that that Levi seems so deep. You can't help but wonder what's going on in his head.
What is wrong with you >_<
Le feels ;-;
(greatartworkthough!

Awesome drawing
You're most welcome!
Lol that's why the moment my first fav character died, I just stopped becoming attached to anyone xD

With that aside, this is really beautiful.
