So here's the story, shortly.

A guy pays for a commission, via Paypal. I send him the pic and then he cancels the payment and Paypal totally refunds him. Plus I owe Paypal money because of course the transfer to my bank account was cancelled and in these cases I have to pay the service... well !

Is there anything I could do or am I totally screwed ? -__-"

Edit : Now that Yaoi Gallery is up again, his username on it is Gherick. Email addresses cheshiredoll@gmail.com and dystan@live.com. I hate to denounce but I had to !

I agree with Dinoman there! If he played that trick with you he should be outted cause how many other artists could get played? I would talk to paypal cause basically he paid for the goods, and you delivered! Shit man that FN BITES!

Well, actually when Paypal reports a conflict, it asks you to explain. So this is what I did, I told them he received the illustration he paid for by mail, copied his mail saying he received it well and that it was awesome. But I don't think they care for sellers, especially for stuff like ours, since we don't have no contracts.

Shall he reply to my emails or not, which will be useless in my opinion, I just have to wait for the Y! to be online again and see what's his username to warn people.

Well, Paypal really doesn't care and Gherick doesn't answer emails.

At least, I talked about it to the Y!Gallery mods who wanted proofs, preferably screencaps of the mails; they were very very nice and concerned, and they promised to take care of it. Since the Y! is on read-only mode these days I don't know exactly how it's going. ^^
(Oh and the mod told me to be more careful next time but well, I'm used to commissions, it's nice but on internet there aren't many things you can do...)

Not sure what to do, but this guy needs to be reported the community of artists on these sites, that's for sure.

Yep, once the Y! will be available again I'll see his username (yup I don't remember ^^") and warn people.

However, I should have seen this one coming, you now, the kind of person who says "no", then "yes", then "maybe" but if it was not to pay in the end, why did he keep me waiting for so long... *sigh*

Did you try to contact paypal?
The "report" thing should go both ways.

But damn...what a fucked up thing to do. He should be ashamed!

What annoys me is that since there was a "conflict", Paypal asked me my version of the story. I explained everything, I even copied the nice mail he sent me after getting his picture, saying it was perfect and blablabla.

But Paypal doesn't seem to care. :/

It's a bit of my fault, I should have felt it coming, since he was always saying something then the opposite. I thought for a while there would be a problem but not in that way, this is the most insulting.

A thing like that was obviously planned, I don't see how it could have been otherwise.

Sorry my answer took a while.

Did you get your money by now? Or at least a answer from that fucking guy?
Still can't believe someone does that.

I can't believe that paypal isn't helping the seller as well. It's obviously not only the buyer that gets betrayed.

Nop, nothing... you know in the end it's not the money, I'm not upset about that anymore because I don't relay on it, but it's the way he canceled, the way he doesn't answer emails instead of simply admit he's a jerk. -__- Such a coward behavior...
