I really like the seeming simplicity of this - no ridiculously ornate sword that's way too heavy, very limited amount of decorations (horse heads on the arm guard, of _course_), boiled leather, and an axe with minimum metal because: easier for quick fighting, and also because this guy blew five years of his armour allowance on that chainmail :)

Also, I'm trying hard not to go all fuzzy and giddy about the effect of the hair half-hiding the wind but, seriously, I'm blaming it on the image ;) Like a didn't know that in a fight, it'd be bloody inconvenient. (Literally, with a bit of bad luck. )
