Stephan is a bright cream colored hare born on November, Friday the 13th, 19XX . He dresses very fashionably, sporting a navy blue cashmere coat, jet black tie, and classy olive spectacles. His clothes smell like the slight stench of cigarettes with a hint of cologne, and warm vanilla scented moth balls. Stephan’s personality is something most would label as ‘eccentric’. He’s highly charismatic and analytical, always planning his actions thoroughly before he follows through. Stephan is also very insecure, which he overcompensates for by having a high ego. This high ego and longing for control creates a decent amount of trouble for his friendships and relationships with other dolls he might come into contact with.

Stephan is also a coward who loves to hide his fear and insecurities behind a huge smirk. The bigger he smiles, the more terrified he is. He is only afraid of two things; the first is bugs (though he is significantly more terrified of ladybirds), he ironically tends to find swarms following him from time to time. The second thing he fears is himself. At his core, Stephan is gluttonous and selfish. He’s hungry for control and will go as far as he needs to get what he wants to feel that control. But he doesn’t know how far he’ll go, which terrifies him. He seems to suffer from an unspecified and undiagnosed mental disorder. Growing up in a questionable cult, Stephan temporarily escapes his environment by trying to work overtime as an apprentice at a local butcher's shop. Later, he applies to become a medical student, specializing in physiology and anatomy, training to become a surgeon.

He lives alone in a shabby, run down flat with occasional visits from his fiancé Eleanor Fox. Eventually, Eleanor is forced to move away to become a war nurse. The separation eats away at Stephan like maggots devouring the flesh away from rotting meat. Exempt from being drafted due to being a student, the closest thing he has to her is her younger brother Ffionn Fox, who Stephan forms a close friendship and obsessive bond in Eleanor's absence.

One of Stephan’s more likable traits is that he is a strikingly good cook. He particularly learns to bake extravagant cakes from his mother as an adolescent. As an adult, he uses his cakes to subconsciously express himself with nauseating, chaotic designs decorated with hostile (and sometimes), violent messages on top. Some of these cakes he gifts to Ffionn, albeit he doesn’t realize how this might dismay everyone around him. Stephan becomes noticeably distressed if Ffionn rejects his cakes or acts of kindness. Sometimes he’ll pressure him to keep it, other times he’ll insist that Ffionn eats it in front of him so that he may analyze what true feelings might be towards him based on his answer. If he doesn’t end up giving a cake away, he destroys it after completion by either crushing it to pieces with his bare hands and screaming at it, or he eats it himself for comfort. With all of the baking he participates in, Stephan greatly enjoys collecting delicate porcelain cutlery and cake forks. Despite it being odd, he’s very proud of his collection and would proudly show it off to anybody.
