A basic guide to fixed tripod astrophotography. This is my first go at producing a tutorial of sorts. I hope you find it helpful.

Too bad I live in The Netherlands (actually, it's a great country to live in, but not if you want to see stars
) and I have to travel for hours to only catch a glimp of the milky way. Western Europe has the most light pollution on earth

how far into the night do you do that?
What do you mean?
let me rephrase it... do you just wait till full darkness and start shooting or till middle of the nigh?
