Chapter 1- The Island
As the sun rose up into the cloudless sky, Elizabeth Turner awoke. Looking at the rising sun, she knew that her beloved husband, William Turner II, had just completed another day of duty at World's End and smiled at the thought of him returning to her in less than ten years. She got up and began to get ready for the day.
Elizabeth had recently married Will, only to watch him die, come back to life to be with her, and then be swept away from her again to World's End. He would return to her in ten years and his curse would be broken if Elizabeth was faithful to him during that time, which is exactly what she planned to do. She wouldn't betray Will like Calypso had betrayed Davy Jones.
The island that Will and Elizabeth had honeymooned on was Elizabeth's current home. Elizabeth had found a small cave for shelter, a spring in which to bathe, and some trees with fruit to eat. For drink she could get coconut milk from trees on the island and water from the crate of glass-bottled water the crew had left in her longboat. She could also grill fish after catching them with the net Ragetti had left in her longboat.
Even though she might be able to scrape by on the island until Will returned, Elizabeth knew that she would need to leave soon. Now that Will was immortal, Elizabeth needed to find a way to keep herself alive as long as Will lived. She must not leave him behind by dying and had to find a way to sail the seven seas with him for eternity. Thus, Elizabeth ate breakfast and started stocking her longboat with necessary supplies for her trip back to civilization.
As she was walking to the other side of the island, she noticed a small sailboat stuck ashore and a familiar person laying unconsciously in the sand. Her eyes widened as she realized who it was, and she ran towards the body.
"Jack!" she cried nervously, shaking him. "Jack, wake up!"
Jack groaned and turned to face the person who had rescued him.
Elizabeth?" He sat up and winced. He and Elizabeth noticed giant, bloody rips in his pants and sleeve and the skin on his left arm and right leg.
"Bloody hell," swore Jack, looking at his bleeding limbs. He was thoroughly weakened by the loss of blood and nearly fell unconscious.
"Let's get you fixed up before you bleed to death," said Elizabeth, helping Jack up and taking him to her cave shelter where she cleaned his wounds and bandaged his limbs with cloth from her blanket.
"Nothing's broken. It seems that you just have a couple of really deep cuts, probably from being shipwrecked. There are a lot of sharp rocks on that side of the island," she said, giving him some food so he could regain his strength. "But how did you get here?"
Jack looked up at her from his yummy dried fish and fruit. He had not forgiven her wholly for causing his death, but she had just saved his life. In addition, his current quest and destination would interest her very much.
"Well, after Barbossa and I left you with Will on this island three weeks ago, the Pearl headed back to Tortuga. I went to get some rum and catch up with Scarlett and Giselle. Unfortunately, Barbossa took off with my ship and left me and Gibbs on Tortuga. But I snatched this first before Barbossa took off," said Jack, pulling out the important center of Sao Feng's charts. "And I'm sure you and I are both aiming for the same thing at the moment. Something I let Will have that you need to match in ten years."
"Immortality," replied Elizabeth, her eyes bright.
"And there is some water that can grant us that," smiled Jack. The Fountain of Youth, or Agua de Vida, contains immortality water that keeps one at the same biological age and state forever. That's what I'm after." He took a sip of coconut milk and asked, "And what about you, love? You must have fulfilled your childhood dreams by becoming the most powerful and highest ranked person in piracy as Pirate King."
"I suppose so, and I thank you for the vote, Jack," replied Elizabeth distantly. Instead of her childhood dream, she thought of her dream last night. It was again of the day that she had met Will. She missed him so much and wished that she could be with him.
Jack looked at her with a touch of pity; even though he had saved Will's life, he could not stop Elizabeth's sadness or save her heart. Jack could not really be mad at her anymore.
"I suppose I'll go back to Singapore to get my crew and ship together. But I don't know how to get to the Fou--" Elizabeth started to say but rushed outside.
"Elizabeth!" yelled Jack, rushing after her.
Elizabeth threw up outside and fell to her knees. She looked quite green and weakened.
