Information about the rider:
Adelaide Snow, or Mary around the barn, has been around horses since she was young. Her father was a lower-tier thoroughbred owner and she has never lost that love for the four-legged creatures. Much to her parents' dismay, it took a few different lessons before she settled into Show Jumping as a future event. Her smaller frame and quiet demeanor make her trainer wary when placing her on much larger show jumpers, but she has seemed to excel. At age twenty, she joined Northridge Stud as their main show jumping rider and has pushed the stable name out into the show jumping world.

Parents and/or notable ancestors of the horse?
Despite his lineage, Fighter Jet has turned out to be a fantastic show jumper with a potential second career in dressage. NRS Fighter Jet is sired by the great stallion De Niro, known to be one of the greatest Hanoverian stallions. His dam, Landory, was given excellent scores in conformation and movement which has allowed her colt to easily and gracefully turn into a show jumper.

Anything interesting about your pair?
The pair are two peas in a pod. Despite not having been with the colt since his birth, they have formed a close attachment. While Fighter Jet is a friendly stallion who enjoys anyone who will give him pets, he has a special place in his heart for Adelaide. Fighter Jet can even recognize her truck pulling down the stable lane and he will race it along his paddock.

Which obstacle would they have the most trouble with?
Fighter Jet will have the most trouble with water obstacles, particularly with obstacle number 8. He is not the biggest fan of getting his hooves wet when in competition mode. It throws off his head and he has trouble focusing on the remaining obstacles.

How do horse and rider work together?
Much like their relationship off the course, they are a solid team. Adelaide is there to keep Fighter Jet on track because he can easily get distracted in his enjoyment of jumping. He responds well to her hands and feet and doesn't usually need a second or third kick to get him going. Both of them have a competition switch that gets turned on and sometimes it's hard to see who is really leading the pair when the competition heats up.

Anything special about the horses or riders jumping style?
Fighter Jet loves to jump as high as he can when he goes over jumps, he's a bit of a ham when people are watching. Adelaide is there to remind him to save his strength for the much larger jumps or towards the end of a course. She sits lightly on him and keeps the reins loose so the stallion can have free range of his head.

How much risk would they be willing to take?
Neither one of them are afraid to push the limit and take some sharp turns to save some seconds. While Fighter Jet would be willing to bulldoze his way to the finish, Adelaide is more concerned with bringing her stallion home safely so it's a bit of a battle between the two of them as far as risks go.
