He has his  father's stripes and shape body, his mother's eyes and his granduncle (Barkface) coat's color.

New Headcanon. Nightcloud lacks existence before Power of Three, so I like to imagine a past for her. She and Mudclaw would have been best friends for a long time, before becoming mates. Shortly before the Great Journey, she gave birth to their kits: Owlkit (whisker), Weaselkit (fur) and Thistlekit (paw). Thistle and Owl were quite weak, when they were born, she feared that they would die quickly but they survived, even if Owl became an apprentice a little later because of his condition. During the journey, Thistlepaw died, too weak to endure the journey. She and Mud suffered greatly from his death, and she suffered even more because Mud moved away in his quest for power. She did not approve of his actions at the lake against Onewhisker, who was distancing them from each other, and tried to bring him back to the right path while grieving. When he died, she suffered greatly and found comfort in her sons.

This headcanon would reinforce her fierce side with Breezepelt, because the death of Thistlepaw would have shaken her as much as the death of her two kits with Crowfeather. As for her relationship with Crow, it would not have worked because she did not want to suffer the loss of a mate anymore and could not replace Mudclaw, preferring to invest herself with her sons.

The death of Owlwhisker was a new ordeal for her, and she tried to bring Breezepelt and Weaselfur closer together. However, Weasel reproached Breezepelt's membership in the Dark Forest, going so far as to blame him for having murdered their mother. Finally, the two brothers make amends.

Weaselfur dies of unknown causes, afraid before Darktail's arrival.
