Jake Muller (Earth-ARV98)

Alright, my last entry of Resident Evil: Code Lacrima for now before I will be focusing on another project. Meet Sherry Birkin's girlfriend, and another hot boy of Resident Evil 6, Jake Muller!

Technically, I had my own vision on Edonia in Earth-ARV98. Quite similar to Fortuna, Sparda had a chance to seal the Hell Gate in that place, but the legend of Sparda itself was not known much to the Edonians themselves. Of course, despite the limited record behind Sparda's action in this unique Balkan country, the legend persisted as the folklore of Crni Andeo - the Black Angel. Of course, this is not the same case as the Order of the Sword in Fortuna.

In Earth-ARV98, Jake Muller is unknown son of Albert Wesker; Jake's mother had long broke up with Wesker and managed to return to Edonia. Hence, Jake saw his father as a "deadbeat", having raised solely by his mother. Following his mother's dead, he eventually found work as a mercenary, having sent into various areas outside Edonia, including South American and Middle East. Even so, he too also assisted the Edonian Liberation Army, which sought several mercenaries in order to overthrow the official government in Edonia.

Unbeknownst to him, he was targeted by Darkcom and the Family; the latter wanted Muller to be a subject to Derek's new experiment on creating his own Angelo demons to overthrow Fortuna. Things got worse when Carla Radames opened the Hell Gate at last; eventually releasing what the Edonians called collectively as J'avo.

Following the incident in Edonia and Lanshiang (China), Jake managed to stay with Sherry Birkin in hope to find himself a new sanctuary after the fall of the Family. Upon learned about his father's nature, Jake decided to pursue himself in demon hunting, and eventually work as an independent demon hunter and mercenary whose reputation is known to get the job done and quickly. Well, of course, his status as an ex-mercenary of the Edonian Liberation Army have given clients a pause before they decided to hire him, sometimes.

However, when Jake heard about the story of Mother Miranda deep beneath the mountains of Eastern Europe, he sought out Darkcom's help for assistance, which Chris Redfield found interest with. At most times, Jake also has an on-off rivalry between a Darkcom demon hunter (and Chris' protege) Piers Nivans, who Jake encountered with and somehow befriended with following the incident in Edonia.

Jake Muller's design in Earth-ARV98 actually mirrors his father's, although there are several elements that make Jake different. Jake's human design was heavily based on his RE6 Edonia costume; I imagined Jake being some sort of Nero from DMC, with Wesker being Vergil but with less redeeming personality LMAO. After all, why change perfection?

Jake's Devil Trigger design is also influenced by Wesker's DT, albeit its more streamlined and simplified look. Jake's DT design is inspired by DMC5 Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger unused concept:

But the DT's wings are based on DMC4 Dante's Perfect Devil Trigger concept. I wanted to make Jake's DT looks distinguishable for being looking less human unlike Wesker's; Fang of God Jinga (from from Ryuga-Verse Garo universe) is my another inspiration of it because I wanted to make Jake a "dog of war" type.

The Paradox sword is heavily inspired by Mobile Legends Argus's sword post-revamp; in Earth-ARV98, the Paradox sword is used separately even after Jake has activated his Devil Trigger, unlike Wesker's DT in which Wesker need to activate it by merging the Uroboros sword with himself.
