Shadow the Hedgehog - Darkness

Now this was a concept I've wanted to draw even before I began this new Empire 20 collection for one "Sonic Elements". Nowadays when I think of a Shadow the Hedgehog who can wield literal darkness, Mephiles comes to mind instead, but at least once I want to see this element from Shadow himself.

Specifically, I chose to have Shadow embody a black hole motif alongside a grim reaper theme (hence the scythe). Black holes are already associated with darkness, space, time, chaos, and destruction. Sound familiar? Yet the only time I've seen Shadow create a black hole (albeit mini) was in the 3rd Sonic movie. That said, if I don't want my vision of Shadow to be too OP, I'd still have to control the scale and destructive power of any dark voids he creates.

Black holes aside, I envision Shadow merging in and out of darkness, teleporting, and ambushing opponents with lasting scythe slashes. Dark variants of his usual chaos powers are also on the table. And while he seldom needs this to teleport at high speeds, I also picture him creating black portals.
