Training Day

"Let 'em run." Waylon said as he leaned against the rail, he'd just purchased two racing aged horses and he wanted to see them really move. All the evidence he'd seen showed that both Nysh and Brogues had spirit, and now it was going to be their test.

Brogues broke out first, using his powerful shoulders to drive himself forward but Nysh wasn't phased. While the colt was high spirited, the filly was calm and collected. When they came around the turn her rider gave the reins a flick and she lengthened her stride easily coming along Brogues. After that Waylon just had to smile, the young horses were matched nearly stride for stride and he couldn't have been more pleased with his recent acquisitions.

Patting the rail he just laughed, "Let 'em run...this is going to be fun." Later he'd have to find good targets for their first races, but for now he was just pleased that Fox Harbor might just have a shot at this thing.
