Officially back to form Sunday Memory was back to looking quite good and that had the team extremely excited. They were terrified that the injury he'd suffered in Australia would have killed their stallion's spirit, but once they'd started to get him healthy they'd seen a new strength in character coming through in Nichi. And then after the hard fought win in Dubai and the classy 3rd at the WBS Senior Race they had nothing but high hopes for the big black stallion going forward. Especially if he remained healthy.

Things had been...dark and cloudy for the entire day for the first ever Heritage shows. Of course that didn't bother Nichi at all, he seemed excited and frisky at the looming stor which was good because the moment the gates were thrown open it started to cascade down in a downpour fit to drown them all. Breaking fast as he always did Nichi pushed to the early lead, it was right where Colt wanted him and he kept held back a bit to reserve energy the same way he had in Dubai. Mud flew into their faces, and water ran over them both like they'd just stepped out of a pool, but on they pushed running hard and truly flying in the mud.
