From Maggie to Margareta

A Story of Freedom Growing Safer and Safer Do you really think you get to decide for yourself, you little fool? Do you vote for MAGA or the AfD out of conviction? The fact is that you have fears, and Trump and the AfD exploit them. They twist the truth until the lie becomes the one and only truth. This story shows how you follow the wolves to the slaughterhouse like a sheep, through the distortion of truth and the deliberate stoking of fear. Because you are too stupid and too cowardly to admit your mistake, you also cheer them on. Chapter 1 – Maggie Maggie Hartmann was thirty-three years old, five foot four, blonde and blue-eyed. She had been a member of the SPD in a German state parliament for four years. [DEVIATION] She liked her job. Not every committee meeting or party conference, and certainly not the evenings when a scheduled one-hour meeting at the community centre would turn into a three-hour discussion about a motion that nobody would understand afterwards. The Mix of Iron and Blood: Chapter Thirteen

Unseen Previous Chapter The rain had stopped sometime before dawn, but it seemed like no one had let the jungle know. Water still came down through the canopy in its own time, in fat irregular drops that struck the broad leaves below like knuckles on a door. Everything dripped. Everything steamed as the heat came up. Elkog had given up on the idea of being dry two days ago, somewhere between the river and that abandoned village, and now simply walked wet, his trousers stuck to his skin and his boots making a squelching sound at every step that he had started to hate. Michelle set the pace, because she was still regaining her strength after being healed. She did not complain about it, she simply walked with her head down and her hand out for branches, and every so often she stopped without warning and stood with her eyes closed, breathing, while the rest of them waited and gave her the time she needed. Then she would say "right" and start again. They had been doing that since first

The Inner Child Runs Free

Focus bounces from place to place a tune playing in my head no headphones in just my mind replaying something on loop or playing it's own playlist of songs it's decided to roll through my head. A job list flickering between the focuses I'm suppose to be doing, ideas occasionally pinging across my mind like pop ups. Feelings, talking, external influence can really add extra load to this bubble I build yet I haven't noticed this bad since back when I was a kid. My focus whilst straining on myself is normally something that I can direct and control fairly accurately so what has fallen loose? Has the inner child broken free? I was thinking we were the same thing yet... An influence that feels more childish and impulsive from back then has resurged itself back to the surface. Thank god I'm done with school as I remember vividly telling my annoyed mother who'd asked why I'm only good at school that it was too hard to be good at home and at school. I can't imagine what I'd be like

The Stakes of 7 Deadly Sins - Pemberley Park 9F

The skies overhead were just starting to break apart a little. The morning had been cloudy and forecast was calling for an overcast evening. Thunder, the two-year old stallion, held his head high and looked to be tugging on his reins. Nabila, his jockey, was holding him steady. Cloe walked next to the pair as they rounded the the roundabout to the dirt track. The seal bay stud was certainly showing-off to the on-lookers and brokers. Probably trying to show a big name and get himself some standings. Cloe rolled her eyes at the horse and prayed he wouldn't give poor Nabila a rough ride. Nabila was still looking into getting herself a name as well. She wanted to join Ireland's female-jockey elite list and maybe become a Hall of Fame jockey. She was well practiced and not entirely new to the sport, just never rode any big name horses or any most-watched races. Pemberley Park's Seven Deadly Sins Stakes was her chance to start in the big races. Cloe left her horse and her jockey to go

She had a bedroll, a book, and some emergency supplies and first-aid kits. The two bullies were wearing tracking collars for additional safety. Outside, Pookie was standing with his ladies and waiting for everyone to come out for their 3-day drive through Ireland. He, too, had a tracking collar around his neck just in case they got separated. The bull didn't seem to mind the collar, but he wasn't entirely pleased by it either. Maeve walked Calliope and the two bullies out to the ring where the cattle were waiting. She opened the gates, mounted Calliope and lead her dogs to the herd. With a strong set of whistles she asked her two bullies to circle around the herd and get them moving from the back. She followed after the herd with her horse and the drive had begun. Cloe, Maeve, and Cathal worked together in getting their Mahara Mastiffs titled and trained up for the big cattle drive coming up. Their Hafakabir team was all well and situated, so it was time to get to work with Duncan and his two wives, Davina and Blair. Duncan, the lilac merle was allowed in with a small group of the Plummer bulls that ARKS raised for rodeo sports. Davina, the black and white, and Blair, the red tricolored monet piebald, both followed shortly after. Together the three of them ran around the herd and got to know their "working partners". Cattle Driving wasn't just a job, it was a partnership with everyone involved. In order to get any of driving done, it required full cooperation and working relationships with everyone involved. That included the humans, horses, dogs, and cattle involved. Duncan still acted a little shy with a few of the bulls, but he was slowly getting used to

Brianna had really hoped this day wouldn't actually happen, but there wasn't a whole lot she could do to stop it. Time was something she nor any other horse had control over, and so she just had to deal with it. Today, Blaine was going to leave the herd. It was a long time coming, and she knew that. While Slade was a most generous lead stallion and let Blaine stay longer than most colts usually did, he had finally decided it was time for Blaine to leave. Brianna respected and understood his reasoning, young studs could be trouble, even some of the most well-behaved ones. Having one around his mares was sure to be trouble eventually. Brianna had asked Slade to hang back with Clara, and the big stallion did so. Her daughter and Slade chatted easily, and that warmed Brianna's heart. He is a good stallion, she thought to herself. She sighed as she looked out at the now golden stallion that she had helped raise, and felt a twinge of pain in her heart. Her gift, her charge. She couldn't

It was only when they were finally old enough to just barely go beyond their mothers' sight that the two made a plan. They would stay somewhere their dams would be able to see them until they became too focused on grazing to see the two fillies go explore in the nearby forest. Their plan seemed genius, they would wait until their dams looked up to check on them and it seemed like they weren't going to explore and then they'd run!
