(Italy) in the J.C. International Race Series
Horse : WBS Moves Like Jagger
Jagger was coming off of the Budweiser Classic Handicap at Devil's Downs and had won it in an easy fashion, now that he had started to get a real taste for winning he was becoming a fierce and driven competitor. In the mornings when they worked out he tucked those ears back, locked eyes on a forward line, and fought hard against Colton to reach speeds that were more race worthy than workout. Colton felt like he was riding a wild bay colored bullet every workout, and he could feel the fitness and strength in the stallion growing every day.
Waylon had been pleased with everything he'd been seeing, but concerned that the bullet works that Jags kept putting up were exhausting the horse. So he put him on a few days of rest and let Colton tell him when Jagger needed to work. As easy going as Jags tended to be he seemed to be ready for race day when it rolled around, he was restless in the paddock and hyper during the post parade.
Once they were loaded he had his game face on though, and was ready to hit the ground running. As the bell rang and the gate flew opened Colton found himself basically just holding on and hoping that Jagger knew what he was getting himself into!
