Story:

Cecily had taken a nasty fall at the end of the Breeder's Cup Juvenile, she'd been bucked off Sabrina and hit her elbow on one of the rails. And though she probably shouldn't have ridden Jagger in the Mile she couldn't bail on the race, instead she'd piloted the horse to 4th and then promptly dismounted and gone to the hospital on an ambulance. Because of that she'd missed a few races, and a lot of training with Leche.

But today she was back in the saddle, back to jumping which was exciting for her. Taking a breath she closed her eyes and leaned her forehead against Leche's broad cheek, "Hey little man, think we're ready to run again?" The pony flicked his ears forward and then back before nosing against her shoulder, he could tell she still wasn't 100%, and they hadn't had nearly so much time together as they normally did.

Stepping back she rubbed his nose and then moved to get into position to mount. When she reached with her bad arm she hissed and it made Leche step away from her a bit. Colton had been watching and moved up to grab the reins and rub her back. "Hey sis, how you feeling?"

"Sore but okay, give me a hand up?"

"Of course, but you sure you're ready to compete again?"

"Yes, now give me a hand up." She glared at him and then he helped her up and got her situated.

"Be careful okay? Doctor said if you took another fall like that you may permanently damage your arm."

"It's fine Colt, just let me and Leche ride."

Colt frowned but let her go off to the arena to jump, his arms folded across his chest and he just held his breath with each jump they took together. He knew that Leche would protect his sister but...still it was extremely nerve-wracking to watch.
