History

Triton was purchased shortly after his run in the Belmont Stakes from English breeder/owner Fairy Tail Stud. Seeing something special about the young colt Waylon thought that he'd make a fine late summer and fall addition to their string at the time in the sophomore division. But what he couldn't anticipate was how Triton would explode into the racing world as an older horse, taking on champions such as Canadian Triple Crown Winning Filly TLEC Such A Classic; Breeders Cup Sprint Champion WBS Moves Like Jagger; the famed deceased stallion BTs Blackbeard Got Some Ink; TJC Legendary stallion AS Abyaz; champion WBS Ghost Hour; Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and two time Dubai World Cup winner IHS Steel Force; and stablemate Horse of the Year, Australian Triple Crown winning FHF Make Her Mark, without ever batting an eye.

Triton tangoed with the best of the best, pouring out his heart on the track and securing over $10 million dollars in earnings in the process. At the end of his his abbreviated 5YO season he retired to stud, siring in his first crop TJC 3YO Champion Filly Ella Lorena and not slowing down from there.

Temperament

Triton is calm and gentle, almost like a gelding save for his sense of humor. The stallion likes to steal hats and is a total ladies man, if he can show off he's going to. And if he can flirt, you bet he will. He was known to be bombproof on the track, gentle and easy under hand barely ever requiring anything more than a whip to be shown to him. This personality seems to translate well into his foals and makes him a barn favorite around FHF.
