Story:
The team at FHF were thrilled with how their young stock was growing, and one of their favorites right now was little Demon, the flashy son of Abaddon was a special sort. He oozed spirit, the first day they worked with him on the halter he bit Waylon so badly he was left with a nasty scar on his forearm. The colt was down right nasty, showing the fiery temperament of his pedigree, and very much earning the name Demon. But for all that fire they got something sound, something solid. And that was important to Waylon.
Today they were taking him out to WBS to participate in their Quality in Color Show, pleased to bring a healthy group of colored TBs and a few of their stock QHs with them. And loaded among them was Demon. Causing royal hell in the trailer when they unloaded, and screaming to high heaven. They had opened the gate and he took off having broken his halter and raced headlong for the beach. It had taken them hours to recover the colt, mostly because he preferred to try to eat them than come to them. Finally, with the help of the older stallion Leche and a few sharp nips from him they were able to get him back under a halter and safely in his stall.
On the day of the show Waylon didn't know what to expect from the colt, but for some reason he seemed a bit more calm. Possibly it was because he hadn't had a horse come at him like Leche had before, or possibly because he finally realized that if he worked with his people good things happened. Whatever the reason, the colt seemed to understand that standing calmly under halter was what he was being asked to do. And when he stepped into his stance he made Waylon swoon, breeding to Abaddon for this colt had been extremely exciting. And knowing they still had another breeding after how nice this colt looked...it made his heart sing. Things were looking bright in the young stock of FHF, and he was proud as a breeder to showcase these babies.
