DWR Candy Kisses (USA)

History

Candy is a very sweet horse. She was purchased from her second disbursement sale after Dark Water Ranch shuddered, and then she was purchased as a broodmare prospect. After that barn dispersed their stock she found her way as an older broodmare into the hands of Fox Harbor. As a 2 year old she didn't race much because she didn't have the drive to be aggressive on the track but as she is getting older we've noticed an increase in her stamina and speed.

Temperament

She is well liked among the other horses and rarely gets into trouble. She is one of our few horses that has never bit, thrown, or bucked anyone. If she had it her way she'd be a lap dog.

Conformation

Candy is very stocky in build, with a level shoulder and hip. Due to that it's suspected that had she been tested over longer distances her closing stride would have been deadly as she is perfectly balanced for her height and wouldn't exhaust herself quickly. The bloodstock agent that Fox Harbor keeps on the payroll says that she's the kind of mare that should have been able to run for days.
