I've been going through a little renaissance of my own. It has been a joy and a thrill to make art again. The damage of not doing it is so obvious to me now that I've gotten back into it. While on this path I came across an artist/author named Amie McNee TED talk and it blew me away. She makes the case for why we need your art. Like you, your art. It's 14min, and if you are needing a serious art pep talk, Amie will say things about art I'm sure you've never heard before. I know I had not. I haven't finished reading it, but I'm thinking of sharing quotes on here that inspired me. She has an easy, relaxed writing style, clear and makes you reflect. I'll be a changed person after I'm through with it. I hope. lol Anyway, I'll get back to making actual art. I have a couple of bigger
