Everyone's heard that famous quote about life imitating art, right?
My problem these days is life impeding art. There are simply not enough hours in the day when you work six days a week trying to pay off your mortgage. I remember with fondness the halcyon days when I was a student and did nothing but paint all day.
Sometimes being a grown-up sucks. :(
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
"You like me...you really, really like me!!!"
Effusive enough for you? :D
Seriously, to get a THIRD Daily Deviation is like, beyond amazing. Cheers to everyone for their comments and the ginormous favouriting frenzy. I've spent a couple of hours going through my inbox and there are still more coming in. I won't have a hope of getting back to each one individually, so this measly journal entry will have to do. Once again - THANK YOU!!
Special shout-outs to DragonWinter for suggesting me and to ArtisticAu
Well, doesn't it always happen? You go away for the weekend, and when you come home your Deviant Art account has gone all crazy.
"What could have caused this?" you ask, frantically scrolling through all the thousands of comments to get some kind of indication...
OH MY GOD! MY JAYNE COBB DRAWING GOT A DD!! *freaks*
Holy moly! I can't believe the response. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all those who watched and faved and otherwise gave comments, both positive and constructive. My watcher's list has ballooned out to 1,500. Gah!!
On a calmer note, I did notice that a few people were intrigued by my mention of 'layering' for this pic. It's a technique
Hi, I just wanted to say how freaking amazing all your art is. You probably know that but I'm just reminding you
I especially love your Buffy-related pictures, as it's an older show the characters don't get drawn as much as people like Sherlock or Dean Winchester, but your art is fab and I've never seen anyone do James Marsters's cheekbones so well.
