La Momia by CanisAlbus La Momia by CanisAlbus
I used to be absolutely terrified of mummies, but now I find them rather fascinating.

That use of red is so gorgeous, hnnnng. Awesome teeth and anatomy too.
Mummies are rather interesting, aren't they? :> I went to an exhibit in California once that was entirely about mummies, and frankly, it was somewhat disconcerting, given that there young mummified children there too. Still, incredibly fascinating.

Haha, sorry for butting in, but COOOOOL! :D
Speaking of mummified children... as a medical student I do... stuff... in the dissecting room quite a lot with cadavers, but outside the room itself in the restricted area of the building they have a load of cool stuff, like brains in jars and growths taken out of people etc.... and one of the items in the "wonderful collection of weirdness" is a mummified child... kinda funny how I walked past it most days and had a look as if this was perfectly "normal" then as soon as I tell about it to anyone on the outside they totally freak. :'D

How neat! As I've gotten older, I've been really intrigued by the human body myself, so medical stuff (particularly psychology and how the mind works) is rather interesting to me too. Although, I don't think I could actually be a medical student, as interesting as I bet it is; it would get to me after a while, I think.
Still, that's awesome. :D

Haha, nice - it is indeed interesting! :nod:
And aww, really? I'm sure you could be - if a goofy metalhead idiot like myself can manage it I'm sure anyone can if they want to. :lol:
Hmm yes, it is pretty cool at times... I LOOOOVE dissecting, and I also liked getting to suture some things. :boogie: I also love the pathology and microbiology aspects... not so fond of a lot of the other stuff though. :bleh: (Public health, y do u exist???!!?!? :faint:)

Wow, that's super cool, kudos to you for following that path with such enthusiasm! :D Really, medical stuff is so interesting, no joke (even if some stuff may not be your cup of tea :) ). I just don't think I could do it because of the fact I'd be cutting open people; or rather, bodies, but I'd keep thinking about them as people and how they had lives and families, and I think it would just get to me.
Nonetheless, very neat. :>

Ahaha, thankyou! :D
It is indeed interesting... but I think most things, no matter what they are, have parts which we're not so fond of... public health just happens to be mine. :XD: :'D
And ah, I can see where you're coming from there, it's totally understandable, and actually one of the main reasons why a lot of people in my course have dropped out, so you're not alone in thinking like that. I'm... a very detached and distant person, so that sort of thing doesn't really cross my mind... I'm far more interested in holding the necropsy saw and removing a calvarium to hold a brain. ;) The thing is, for me anyway, after treated with formalin, the skin texture of the bodies changes and they don't look as much like people anymore - well, still recogniseable as humans obviously, but you don't immediately look at them and see a person... of course there does still need to be a certain amount of respect for the cadavers... no taking photos or playing around with the bodies and things like that, common sense really.
Hehe, thanks anyway, and nice talking to you! ^^

In 2nd grade I was completely enamored with all things mummy. The burials, the folklore, the process... Everything was fascinating!
Awesome job, as always! C;

Todella kaunista jälkeä taas kerran. Yksinkertaisesti olet saanut pintaa aikaiseksi pelkällä viivan vetojen suunnalla. Väritki ovat kovin sopivat ja luovat tunnelmaa~
