Group Guidelines

This group is currently only open to submissions to the folders member features, stock, tutorials, and resources. We hope to resume critiques again in the near future.

Membership Tiers:
Founders & Co-Founders - Have complete Admin control; facilitate the group, orchestrate events, provide critiques.
Contributors - May access the admin panel; participate in discussions about ideas for the group, help find resources for the group. Must complete at least two (2) critiques per month to maintain contributor status.**
Members - May submit artwork for critique but are not required to offer critiques to other artists.

**Alternatively, may contribute a prize for the month's contest. If there are not enough submissions to the "Art to Be Critiqued" folder for all contributors to critique in a month, this rule is void.

Gallery Folders:
Featured - Reserved for outstanding canine photomanipulations which will be featured at the discretion of the co-founders. Also includes Daily Deviations and Canipulate Contest Winners. Only co-founders may submit to this folder.
Art to Be Critiqued - Canine Photomanipulations that you wish to have a co-founder or contributor critique. Any member may submit up to two (2) pieces to this folder per month.
Critiqued Art - Pieces that have already received critiques from a co-founder or contributor. Further critiques may still be offered by other individuals.
Member Features - Canine Photomanipulations that you do not want to be critiqued, but wish to share with the community. Any member may submit one (1) deviation to this folder per week.
Quality Wolf Stock - Stock photography of wolves that you believe would be useful to the community. Submissions are subject to a vote. Any member may submit up to five (5) pieces to this folder per week.
Featured Tutorials - Tutorials that pertain to photomanipulating wolves that you feel would be useful to the community. Submissions are subject to a vote.
Other Wolf Resources - Anything that does not fall under the other categories may be submitted here. This includes but is not limited to brushes, textures, and member-hosted contests (pertaining to canine photomanipulation). Submissions are subject to a vote.
Contest Entries - Entries for the current Canipulate Contest. Any member may submit one (1) deviation to this folder per contest.
Completed Contests, Secret Santa - Entries from past Canipulate Contests and Events.

***Only Members of Canipulate may submit to Gallery Folders! Non-members may suggest their pieces to favorites if they would like to share their artwork but not join the group.
***Any artwork included in the group MUST include proper stock credits.

Hey guys! Its been a bit - sorry about that. There are a few things I'd like to discuss with everyone, and I'd love your input on improving the group and its functionality for all!

Many of you who were previously 'contributors' will notice you've been moved to 'members.'
Anyone is welcome to note a request to me or the group asking to become a contributor. Contributors need to complete at least 2 critiques per month, or contribute a prize for a forthcoming contest, to maintain contributor status.
For those who feel a bit unsure about giving critiques, once you have access to the admin panel there are discussions about the topic you can read and a simple outline for somewhere to start when writing a critique. I also highly recommend checking out this journal:
I could really use some help getting through a lot of the requested critiques, so please let me know if you'd be interested in becoming a Contributor for the group!

*EDIT* If you have more than 2 submissions in the folder "Art to be Critiqued" please reply here letting us know if you would be OK with us removing the excess oldest submissions. Alternatively you can list which two works you would like to remain for critique and which extras can be removed. This is an effort to allow critiques on your more recent and relevant works, as I am sure those with multiple submissions waiting for critique have improved a fair bit since those older submissions were made. No reply to this journal will be interpreted as an 'OK' from you to remove your older works.

With summer right around the corner, I'd love to host another contest! But I'd like this one to be bigger and better than our first three contests. I will of course donate points and/or Core to the prizes, but if you would be willing to donate art, features, points, Core, or other prizes to make this a more enticing contest to enter, please send me or the group a note! We are also taking suggestions for a theme for the contest. Would you like to see another Set Stock challenge (requiring at least one provided stock image be included in the manip), an open 'summer' theme, or something completely new and different? Let us know in the comments!

Lastly if you have any other ideas or input outside of these topics about how to make the group better, feel free to comment here or send me a note. ^_^

This is not a photography group, it is a Canine Photomanipulation group.
Canipulate being a combination of those two words.
