---------------------------
‘Bloody Marie’ and ‘Bonnie Annie’, circa 1689 to 1792, were two French sisters, who reputedly turned to piracy to avoid their violent and abusive husbands.
Together they commandeered and commanded the ship they were being transported on, committed to piracy throughout the West Indies and Caribbean.
There are various versions of their end.
Some report that Sir Henry Morgan (1635-1688), as Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica, from his base in Port Royal, pardoned them; or, that they were captured, tried, sentenced to be hanged; but, were pardoned, and died in prison.
Other reports claim that they fled to Mississippi, and continued their career.
There are few contemporary portraits of even the most famous pirates, for obvious reasons, except for some caricatures, printed in broadsides.

Bloody Jack, or “Bloody Jack: Being An Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary ‘Jacky’ Faber, Ship’s Boy” is a historical novel series, by L.A. Meyer, about an orphaned girl, who turns to piracy and spying, managing to entangle herself, in historical events from Prussia to the South China Sea and South Pacific.

They look like they might be related to The Pirate Queen.
--------------
Apparently very few pirates got to retire peacefully and enjoy quiet life.
It makes you wonder when they had time to bury any treasure; or, engineer complex ‘traps’, like reputed to be at Oak Island.
