"Did you hear that?"
How often does someone say that at a museum or historic site; and then, somehow someone always manages to shine a torch in your eyes.

This was made for Men In History Contest, hosted by ManipulateThis.
Theme: This is a Historical theme contest. The scene must match the model’s costume.
Skill Level: 2, Novitiate

Memo:
Sometimes at a museum, or historical site, especially if you’re doing research, you can almost sense the presence of those who lived and maybe died there.
And, sometimes you have to wonder if, as my one friend who is sort of psychic says; if they know they’ve passed on.
Maybe, they’re still there: looking on, or don’t know they passed on, and still half alive.
The challenge was to use the whole stock in a historic setting. There can't be anything much more historical than an archaeological site.
Actually, the average height of Roman Legionnaires was 165-170 cm, about 10 cm shorter than the modern standard, which made scaling a little difficult. Although, some "Barbarians" were closer to the contemporary standard, who Romans called "Giants". [All of who were probably still taller than myself.]
Thanks to all the Stock Artists and ManipulateThis, for hosting.

[Yes, I do often wear a Fedora, or a Breezer hat. And, yes, I do have a bullwhip.
But, as one of my Professors said, that’s probably best kept for herding Undergrads.
(though, not sure what HR would have to say about that.)]

Memo:
Actually, I was just starting the long march towards a D.Litt. when I was rammed by a drunk driver on my way to an exam; I don’t know when I’ll get back to it; but, who knows, maybe someday, like Professor Binns (History of Magic, at Hogwarts).
Actually, speaking of Men In History reminded me of a Professor who said that men had already had more than enough to say in history; one student asked if that meant he didn’t have to turn in a paper; she said, “Of course not.” [Which sounded ominous.]

As the Dean, one of my Classics Professors, always said, “Keep digging!”
“You can’t get an ‘A’, unless you dig it up and, translate it, yourself.”
