Just a reminder that tomorrow I'm going into hospital. Unfortunately I don't know when they'll release me, but I imagine I'll be there until approximately Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, perhaps longer. As I'll be in the psychiatric unit, it seemed pertinent to use this gorgeous Suicide Prevention & Awareness skin.
Anyhow, I can't even have my phone while I'm in, so obviously I won't be around to reply to comments etc or to read peoples' work, but I will catch up on all the individuals I follow once I am out again. Groups will be deleted for now without even a cursory glance until I'm caught up.
Please feel free to send excellent artwork you think will cheer me up when I'm released (that I might not otherwise see), continue adding your entries to the Shark-Raffe contest and just generally continue being awesome.
As a not-so-obviously related side note, Saturday the 23rd is the anniversary of the loss of my daughter, Elyssami Faith. I most likely won't be able to light her candle this year so please, if you have a moment free on the 23rd, and you can do it for her sake (rather than simply because you care for me, which is appreciated but not what the 23rd is about for me), to please simply light a candle or think of my daughter, and the little girl she could have been. Your kindness and good thoughts are appreciated, and while I may not be religious, am spiritual enough to believe she'll know.

Im glad you're feeling better, psych ward docs are usually horrible, the nurses usually are bad too (in my experience), but im glad you had some nice people looking after you!
Yeah, they're definitely not pleasant places to be. I've been lucky in that I've only usually found one or two problem nurses per stay and the rest of the nurses are usually lovely. I wish the same could be said for the docs, though, who are almost without exception absolute jerks.
Theres always at least 2-3 nurses that need to take a holiday from the psych wards! They turn into such nasty people.
My experience we always had idiot doctors in the wards, i just don't get it how they just don't understand anything! Absolutely frustrating.
