I'm temporarily creating a new Development source file download that will actively incorporate all contributions posted to our group as they appear. This Development copy will be used to build towards version 0.60, which will incorporate Act 2. Anyone wishing to dig right into the latest and greatest version of CameliaGirls can now do so at any time without worrying about using an outdated copy.
Please note that in order to use any of the development copies below, you will need a copy of Renpy version 6.12.0:

We are freezing on this version until subsequent releases stabilize.

- Quite another long hiatus, eh? ^^ Well this one was used mostly drawing and helping Haya out with some of her own projects. In any event, not much in the way of actual script-writing, other than that the full dorm room scene has been completed. The next update will be the big experimentation with parallax scrolling. ^^ We have Cyllia doing some actual "writing" for the first time ever. And Miharu gets some new clothes (however briefly), although "new" is used liberally here since Haya actually drew the outfit last November. It was just sitting around waiting to be used. ^__^; The room architecture has been revamped a little to more closely match the entire dorm concept. It's still incomplete, though, as the architectural style is still mostly modern rather than art nouveau which has more decorative elements. But it works for the time being, and I do like the trend of creating our own backgrounds rather than collaging some stock imagery. ^^' And last but not least, this release adds some additional GUI enhancements by Tkensum as explained in the previous journal entry. However, due to a bug in the latest release of Renpy, the whole game is unusable if it's attempted to be run with the bleeding edge copy... which unfortunately is the only version 6.12.1 copy that can currently be downloaded. Therefore, we're now officially freezing our development to version 6.12.0, since this is available to download by anyone and also offers almost all the new features we need for his Screen language enhancements. There is one exception and I've had to temporarily comment-out some code that is currently incompatible with 6.12.0. To see which files have been modified to allow for this temporary fix, look for the phrase "## Do not add until version 6.12.1" in any of the following: gcui.rpy, options.rpy, script, rpy And with that, let's get started! ^^ Click to Download Development Copy for July 24, 2011 The music files are still the same as in the last release, but here they are again if this is your first dev copy download: Click to Download Development Copy Music Files for Act 1 Click to Download Development Copy Music Files for Act 2

- A "nightly" in the most traditional sense of the word, this development release is actually my first successful attempt at reducing the bloat of the OP sequence. Although there is still a delay between the fadeout effect and the animation, it's more of a consistent 5 second delay which I can live with. Especially since my work involved cutting the 13-level animation into only 5 separate ATL animations, as well as cleaning the code, adding useful category comments into the code, and also trimming about 1.5 MB from the total file size. True, the result looks a little emptier, but I'm surprised by how little I had to sacrifice in order to get a halfway decent "Lite" version of the OP. ^^ I can probably trim it more, but for now this should be good to go. ^__^b Click to Download Development Copy for June 20, 2011 The music files are still the same as in the last release, but here they are again if this is your first dev copy download: Click to Download Development Copy Music Files for Act 1 Click to Download Development Copy Music Files for Act 2

- Just adding a little blurb here since I plan to publish a full journal for this release in a short while. In any event, I'm a little behind again due to work, drawing, getting used to Renpy script again, and helping my dear Haya with her latest cosplay). But at least it's paid off, as today I'm finally able to release the first development build that actually has a WORKING SECTION OF ACT 2!!! [even if it's brief] >.> This includes my new OP sequence (which I'll talk about later) as well as a revamped GUI designed by

- Phew! The final work on the OP sequence really knocked the wind right out of me... ^__^; But thankfully it's all done now, and today I began to touch the development copy again! ^.^ Sorry to say, I did not add any Act 2 code yet, but at least I did set down the new labeling framework for Act 1, so it should now match what's in the proposed Story Map: c-quel.deviantart.com/art/Came… So now I essentially have the green light to begin working on the Act 2 portion of the game. Since I'm eager to start, I'm looking forward to beginning this tomorrow. ^.^ The immediate goal is to have the Morning Innuendo sequence completed by weeks' end -- that way, I'll also have the green light to add in the OP sequence. Just as the reminder, the OP sequence must debut beginning in Act 2, since most anime series don't show their full OP sequence until after the 2nd or 3rd episode.
