RIFT Contest - Life Colossus

My entry for the RIFT Contest.

First time I've ever entered a deviantART contest, and it's been quite a challenge, but an enjoyable one nonetheless.

If anyone's curious, this is somewhat inspired by the Nightwalker from Princess Mononoke, although technically speaking that guy represents both life and death. And he's made of jelly. As for the glowing spheres, I just had this image of these life spirits animating trees and vines into a vessel to carry them around, spreading life as they go.

And special thanks must go to the gods at Corel for inventing the Real 2B Pencil brush for Painter 12. It's the first time my tablet sketching has looked like what I can do in my sketchbook.
