Spring Night by CalydaRose Spring Night by CalydaRose
I'm not sure what to call it yet...spring night being the first thing that comes to mind (but it doesn't make sense since the tree is obviously bare...making it autumn? but, its not fall, and I didn't paint it with autumn in mind).

But I did paint it with the song "Quiet" by Lights in mind. The tree, moon, and flowers correspond to lyrics within that song ("sitting by the broken tree", "no tragedy, no poetry, just staring at the sky", "I can wait a thousand hours", "pick apart a thousand flowers"). I tried to paint it with the romantic atmosphere in mind.

I actually did intentionally try to use the same colors and a bit of the feel of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" for this one though it felt closer to it than I thought (though on close inspection they're actually very different).

That looks like a perfect place to just sit there and ponder.

you can sit really close to the screen...and pretend you're there.

:O So pretty and soothing, but lonely, yet hopeful, and...O.O And it does kind of have a sense of starry night.
