MLPIMA: How Could You?! (Plus Backstory)

Hey, everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve made something, but here’s a Halloween treat for you all! I feel like I should give some backstory for Callie in the whole mutant apocalypse! For some backstory as to why I did this, I was inspired by @MlpTmntDisneyKauane’s little preview of Flurry Heart vs. Maximus Kong video, which is a sequel to the Twilight vs. Maximus Kong video she did. Anyway, my OC made a cameo in the video, but I noticed that some of her injuries were not accurate. However, I didn’t want to make a scene and decided to switch the ear and wing she got her most prominent injuries on. However, after some thinking, I decided to change some things and give some context/backstory. Now, on with the story:

It isn’t really stated in Kauane’s Twilight video (I didn’t want to put the whole title) how long it’s been since Twilight’s friends passed away. However, I don’t think it’s been that long, 15-20 years at the most, or only a few years if something unexpected happened. Now, I could be wrong, but this is the best guess I have. Anyway, I’m thinking Callie grew up with Cadence and Flurry Heart (seeing them as a mother and a sister), and left to join the Royal Guard when she was old enough to start training. She meets Twilight and the latter takes her in and trains her. I know Celestia and Luna were probably long retired by this point, but I still want Callie to have a mother-daughter-like bond with both of them. So, I think they visit Twilight on occasions and that’s when Callie meets them and they become pen-pals or something (this is important for later, trust me).

Now, fast forward to when Maximus Kong invades Equestria; Callie is in Canterlot, or has a day off and is celebrating in Ponyville, I’m not quite sure yet; when it happens and helps fight off Maximus Kong’s followers so the civilians can escape. She’s briefly knocked unconscious with some minor cuts and bruises, and Cadence finds her. She takes off Callie’s armor to tend to her injuries, but Callie wakes up and tells Cadence that she’s not that hurt. However, that’s when they see a battle going on at the castle. Callie is about to teleport, but Cadence tells her it’s too dangerous and that she could get killed, especially without her armor. Callie fires back, in a gentle commanding voice, that Cadence needs to get the survivors back to the camp, and that it’s her duty as a royal guard to do something. She and Cadence share one last hug and Callie tells her to tell Flurry Heart and Twilight goodbye, in case she doesn’t make it. After that, she teleports to the castle.

I’m thinking Callie arrives in the castle while Twilight and Maximus Kong are having their air battle. She teleports to the throne room because that’s where she saw the biggest flashes of magic. However, she freezes when she sees Celestia’s and Luna’s dead bodies. She can’t help but wail. After Callie cries for a few minutes, her sadness is replaced with pure, unadulterated rage. She was going to kill the pony…no, monster that had the audacity to do this. No one who killed the ponies that ruled over Equestria for as long as anypony could remember deserved to live, and she could only think of one culprit. Her thoughts are interrupted by a scream she could recognize anywhere; Twilight! Callie looked out the window to see Maximus Kong holding Twilight by her neck and choking her with his magic. Before Callie could jump out and help her, an arrow shot into his shoulder and the shooter flew down and picked up Twilight. Callie smiled in relief when she saw Flurry Heart. Once she was sure Flurry Heart was out of range, Callie’s glare hardened and flew back to Maximus Kong; she would make sure he payed dearly for the crimes he has committed, and he has the benefit of her full attention.

Callie teleported down to the cliff Maximus was standing on. “This ends here!! You’ll pay for what you did!!!” She shouted before engaging in a battle with the demon covered in blood. The two exchanged punches, bucks, and magic blasts as they circled each other trying to greatly injure the other. While Maximus Kong had size and strength on his side; Callie was smaller, which meant she was faster, and her magic was stronger than a normal unicorn’s magic. “I gotta thank Twilight for all those magic lessons; if I live through this, that is.” Callie thought to herself when one of her blasts from her horn managed to hit his wing. She wasn’t gonna lie; even though she’s been trained to fight, she was getting tired, and she had a few cuts and scratches that were bleeding, she’s pretty sure she has a few broken bones as well. “Why did I leave my armor with Cadence?” She was mentally bucking herself for thinking it was a good idea to go running into danger without any armor on.

At one point, Callie had to stop and take a breather, but Maximus Kong saw this as an opportunity to get her out of the way. He ran up, his horn poised to strike, but Callie dodges out the way; however, she wasn’t fast enough and Maximus’s horn managed to cut the top part of her right ear off. Callie winced and tried not to scream out in pain, but she settled on crying. Luckily, most of her ear was still fine, and just the tip had been cut off. Maximus Kong started trying to punch her with his hooves, and Callie tried to dodge. However, she got slower and slower until one hit across her left cheek caused her to fall down, which also caused her nose and mouth to start bleeding. While Maximus Kong stood over her, he beat her up like he did Twilight and used his horn to stab both of her sides; enough to cause pain, but not enough to kill her as he wanted her death to be slow and painful, as well as giving her a lot of new scratches to think about. Callie screamed and used her magic to blind him and tried to run away, but Maximus Kong quickly recovered and blasted her in the back causing Callie to fall off the cliff. Callie used her magic to stop herself from falling, but she still hits her head, right around or under her horn, on the ground and it starts bleeding. She tries to walk away, but finds that she doesn’t have the strength to move, can barely stand, and the hit from the fall had made her dizzy. She wasn’t sure if her horn had survived all of that, but she had to try and teleport. She managed to teleport to the camp before collapsing; which could cause her to lose her horn, but since she’s half-alien, I imagine her body can hold together a bit better. However, I’m not sure about her horn injury. Either way, Cadence finds her barely hanging on. “You…you were right. I…I never should’ve gone. I…I’m sorry for putting you through this.” Callie managed to get out to get through coughs and her own blood in her mouth before passing out.

I’m thinking that once Twilight gains consciousness and hears about what happened, she gives Callie alicorn wings to try and increase her chance of surviving, and maybe healing her horn, idk. I was hoping this adds some more sense to why Callie was so ashamed, she didn’t show her face once she woke up. I hope this is okay and wasn’t too much and maybe I could make a fanfic about our OCS (the OC 8) in the Mutant Apocalypse, but what do you all think?

Btw, this has nothing to do with my friends from Wattpad, I’m talking about my friends on DeviantArt. I thought that should be said, just in case there’s any confusion.

Edit: I’m thinking about giving her a big scar/indent on her neck from her fight with Maximus Kong. I hope that’s okay.
