My Bio

Society6 || Inprnt

My name is Faryn and I live in the tundra that is Minnesota. I am currently working as a freelance illustrator using watercolor and Photoshop to illustrate children’s books, editorial work, book covers, and fanart. I enjoy tea on an obsessive level, Florence + the Machine songs, working insanely hard to have time to do nothing, and the company of my two very fluffy cats. I love to meet new artists and gain friends who share and appreciate this passion so feel free to chat with me. Thanks for stopping by! 🌀

It's been a busy year with many losses and unpredictable stress, but I pulled through and got as much work done as I could. I'll be announcing some exciting shows I'm in next year as well as some more book releases for 2018 in the upcoming months. Thank you for all your continued support and kind words. New Books!

After waiting years to announce this, I'm proud to say the first children’s book I ever worked on is finally published. I started The Boy Who Answered in 2011 when I was just a sophomore in college and even though I’ve grown a lot as an artist since this project was completed, I am still immensely proud of it. It’s a story of a young boy on a journey away from home who learns to push, give, and answer whenever it is asked of him. I can’t wait to share this beautiful, philosophical fable- written by the incredibly talented Hamilton Chu- with everyone who has been so supportive of my career thus far! I have 100 first-ed

You have a so many wonderful works in your gallery!

I love the way you achieve the (seemingly) effortless watercolour look in your digital pieces too. I'm still figuring out digital drawing and colouring, so I can appreciate that it's not that easy.

You also have a good eye for picture composition and pairing these with colour palettes to underline those motifs.

And those sketches of all those floof balls (alpacas, cats, red pandas and whatnot) are simply adorable :)

Amazing works!

You have such an incredible gallery! Ty for sharing and keep up the great work!

All of your work is stunning, but I do have to say that I have a particular fondess for the fluffy ink technique 😍

Your style and technique are both very beautiful.

Beauty in every picture.
