BOTCON print - ReGeneration One by Caliber316 BOTCON print - ReGeneration One by Caliber316
Here's something pretty cool....

So as you can probably imagine, I was a big fan of the Transformers Marvel comic from the 80's, especially the end of that run. So I was pretty psyched when I found out it was coming back.

My friend J-P Bove got involved with the book as the colorist, and we started talking about doing a ReGeneration One themed pic together. Somehow the idea came up to see if Stephen Baskerville would get involved to ink my pencils. I usually ink all of my own stuff, so it was a new experience to be inked. It was awesome to see Stephen's inks on top of my pencils. It really gave it that look of the old Marvel book.

I'll have these available at Botcon for anyone who wants to grab one. :)

Wow! I bought a poster of this from John Paul Bove at Thought Bubble comic convention in Leeds, England. It's ace! I didn't even realise it was your pencils though! It's really worked out great, and the image plays to everyone's strengths.
It's a fantastic, well composed image. Love the remains of Scorponok at the bottom.

The Ratchet-Megatron Monster must have been fun to draw! A great old-school pic alright - I too collected the old TF comic back in the day, and Furman's Unicron Saga is one of the best. On The Edge of Extinction is still the best example of a "final battle" story, which no Marvel or DC event to date has equalled. They always cop out.
