I think "Winter Rain" is a very emotive, expressive and atmospheric work.
It evokes narratives about the woman, the environment and the shop:
Has she suffered a romantic or career setback? A family crisis? Or is it as simple as a missed bus, or "the shop is closed and I walked all the way down here in the rain". These are just a few of the themes I get from that picture.
