Hello,
My name is Caio Majado and I’m from Brazil. I’ve been working professionally with illustrations since 2001. I am graduated by São Judas Tadeu University, where I choose the Design course. Before that, I took drawing classes for 4 years, at Fábrica de Quadrinhos Escola de Artes, when I had the opportunity to learn drawing and comics, with Roger Cruz, O.J. Cariello, Marc Campos, Greg Tocchini, Joe Prado and Ivan Reis. They were my teachers in different periods, during my evolution into the course.
After my graduation, me and 2 friends decided to open an art Studio, called “Yes Cabrita Studio”, a Studio that was focused to design and illustrations in general, and a little bit of comics. In that time, I draw mostly for the editorial market, like books illustrations. I also worked for the RPG market, drawing characters, scenarios, story-boards, and some times developing a visual language for some specific kind of book.
In the comics market, I published the “Meninos Perdidos” (The lost boys) - a story in 3 editions, at Kaos Magazine, by Manticora Publishing (2005-2006). Still by Manticora, I published a short story for a RPG magazine, called “D20 Saga”. At the end of 2006, I published another short story called “A mosca no copo de vidro e outras histórias” (The fly into the glass and other stories) by SM Publishing. My newest and latest project is finalized already, but I am waiting for the approval to have it published by Via Lettera Publishing.
Still in 2006, at the end of the year, I left Yes Cabrita Studio, because I would like to have more time to looking for opportunities at the Comics Market. I started to look for some Drawing Schools, and nowadays I am a teacher of two Schools, teaching comics, mangá, cartoons, illustration and design.
In 2007, I won my first awards: The "HQ Mix awards" for my work in “The fly into the glass and other stories” in the categorie "best Prozine". In 2008, I published my personal project called "Conseqüências" ("Consequences").
Thanks for the attention, and best regards,
Caio Majado
