The Seraphim Sing For You

Meet Seraphim, an ancient Alicorn from a long forgotten land known as Olympus, an Alicorn city that was high in the skies up in the heavens. Untouched by pegasi or those stuck to the ground. Seraphim is an incredibly old mare, she was one of the original creators of the Elements of Harmony and barer of the Element of Magic. Over the millennium, Seraphim has grown old and tired and weak, and still remains high on the remains of Olympus. She often overlooks the kingdoms of Equestria through a magical seeing glass and writing down the history as it unfolds itself to her. 

Olympus fell long ago, back when Luna was just a newborn foal, barely a week old. The kingdom had been struck by a blight known simply as The Darkness. Celestia's father, Captain of the royal guard forced her newborn sister into her hooves and demanded that she flee Olympus and never turn back. Only a small handful of Alicorns from the original city live to this day, and many of them have gone mad due to the isolation over the last two to three thousand years.
