Psychopomp

A bittersweet art for my Birthday, which is today. Oh boy, Fortress Hearts has had a long path to get where we are now. From protecting worlds from the Darkness, and defeating a multiversal mad-emperor, to waking up in another reality with dementia, fighting demons and LITERALLY Satan himself, then dying and ending up meeting a girl with eyes that can flashbang people. It all sounds absurd, but welcome to my world.

I think Fortress Hearts changed from a whimsical fantasy adventure story of light vs darkness, to a theological/spiritual and philosophical questioning of identity, reality and the afterlife/death... blended with a hodgepodge of different characters from Disney/Non-Disney media of course, and I think that's pretty cool. Take that Tetsuya Nomura! (I'm joking, I love that man. Never would have made Fortress Hearts without him and his insane ideas.)

Psychopomp (n.): Someone or something, could be a person, spirit, or creature that guides the souls of the dead to the Afterlife.

Ruby in Fortress Hearts 6 would take the role of a psychopomp, since she's a vessel for Caelan's heart and is technically guiding him back to his friends and family.
