[+] Considerate
 Putting others before himself, Verith is always willing to try and land a hand, however after a while he's begun to tone this down to only those that either truly need it or have accepted his help in the past. He's not the best of helpers, but he isn't horrible, having a strong sense between what he sees as morally wrong and right, and so far helping his friends before helping himself stands on the morally right end of the spectrum. 
[+] Kind-hearted
 In all honesty, Verith is a sweet kid to most others, and often shows it as best he can. That said his kind words and intentions could both easily be looked over or even taken advantage of given his submissive being. While the boy has a rather high intelligence, his street smarts and ability to tell when someone is using him are rather lacking, but even so he doesn't seem to have a bad bone in his body. Normally he'll attempt to make friends with those who've shown at least some form of kindness to him, however there have been exceptions to this at times.
[+] Quick-thinking
 What he lacks in physical attributes such as strength, he makes up for in his intelligence, preferring to plan out his tactics and take on a more strategical route rather than rushing head-first into things without at least some form of a plan. This is not to say that he can think up ideas with ease, but rather has less tedious time thinking on his feet or ahead of time. Granted his ideas can easily come crashing down if he forgets to apply any miscellaneous variables, which happens more than one may think. No plan is perfect after all.
[-] Self-berating
 Not truly confident in his own abilities anymore, Verith has begun to doubt himself not only as a battler, but as an individual in general. Mostly shown when he's rather depressed, the gecko will no doubt fall into telling himself all the things that he believes to be wrong with him, along with what others may say to him. This self-doubt must have festered from somewhere, however the boy seems to become rather indignant on answering as to exactly what caused it. Much prefers to be alone when this happens.
[-] Timid
 The most notable aspect to take into mind about Verith is that he can be, in short, very shy around others he's not accustomed to being around. Not being able to strike up a conversation with a new individual, or perhaps one he feels doesn't enjoy his company, the boy often keeps to himself until approached or forced into a situation where he must interact with a stranger. Of course his timidity doesn't simply end there, as he shows to shy away from those he has affection for, stuttering much more with his words than usual. Also tends to pull his scarf over his mouth.
[-] Trust Issues
 While not apparent upon first meeting, Verith has quite the amount of trust issues. To put it simple, the boy is very...picky on who he trusts, mainly keeping this for friends and letting that trust grow the closer he is to another. That said, losing his trust can be both easy and difficult depending on how much he's given to another. If he barely trusts someone, then it can easily be lost. If he trusts someone with his life, he'll more likely ignore them for a while before reconciling and giving them a second chance.

 While he is a quiet individual, Verith is also rather curious, taking further inspection into things that may peak his interest..or simply grab his attention for a second. He enjoys trying to find the answers to questions, going as far as to also try and find alternative solutions through his constant questioning. Granted, the questions can become rather annoying to others after a while, which is mainly why he asks them to himself unless he knows that he can't find the answer on his own. 
[/] Determined
 Though he's shy and doubts his abilities, it doesn't mean Verith isn't willing to at least try and give it everything he has. A trait that may have stemmed from his first few months at the school, he's still pent on doing what he can to prove himself to others, however even if he were to succeed in this, he would still feel as though he'd accomplished nothing from the beginning, prompting him to get back up and try again. His determination may also branch off to the latent amount of aggression he holds, as he has shown to become rather frustrated over time.
[/] Bashful
 Call it modesty or simply his timidity getting the better of him, Verith is extremely bashful when it comes to praise, taking a while to accept others kind words, mainly because he's too busy trying to get his cheeks to fade from red to their natural green. It's not to say he doesn't enjoy feeling praised for his work, but rather he doesn't feel he receives or deserves all of the credit, especially when others pitch in to help. In short he'll feel very grateful for the recognition, but he won't verbally admit it unless someone continues to tell him otherwise.
[/] Cautious
 A very wary gecko at times, Verith isn't exactly much of a high risk taker, preferring that things be thought out enough before being executed. His caution tends to vary with the severity of the task at hand; smaller things equal less caution, grander things equal more caution. Though it works this way, even his version of a slight amount of caution can come off to others as possibly being overly cautious. 

 History: 
 Born in the forest themed city known as Foretree City, Verith was always seen as the smallest of his siblings, which really got to him at times. Sometimes he would be teased for his small stature. This caused him to become a bit antisocial and wary towards others, staying in his room as it was one of the few places he could escape the taunting. This displeased his father, a proud Salamence who was known for his strength. Seeing his youngest son act weakly caused him to force the boy out of the house and to the outskirts of the city where he would begin teaching Verith the meaning to be strong. At first, Verith was reluctant, as he just wanted to keep to himself and escape from the outside, however he soon began to grasp the idea that having confidence in yourself, no matter what others may say, made a difference. This made his father very proud, and surprised his mother, a Sceptile, when she saw her son's change in demeanor. 

 Now, he may have gained confidence in himself, but he was still a bit annoyed by his height. This did make him a bit...angry at times, though he learned to channel that anger into constructive things, such as art and martial arts, which he learned from his brother and sisters. Throughout his schooling life, Verith showed great potential, revealing that he had above average intelligence, which made his parents question about taking him out of his current school and possibly transferring him to an academy. Finally Verith felt as though he truly fit in, though he didn't want to be seen as average. Nay, the Treecko wanted to live life in his own way, going with the wind rather than following what was truly seen as the norm. This prompted the young boy to begin adventuring into the woods around the city, finding little trinkets he kept in a satchel. Sometimes he'd run off after school, which also got him in trouble with his parents. They were glad to see he was expressing an adventurous side, however he hadn't come home from school, which caused them to worry. Verith knew his parents meant well, but he felt as though they were trying to put a shackle on him, making him feel a bit uneasy now. Soon ran out of the house and climbing onto the roof to be alone.

 He sat atop the roof for a while, alone until his older brother Virgil, a Grovyle, joined him. Verith usually enjoyed his brothers presence, as Virgil was the only one in the house he felt he could truly relate to. Virgil commented on how the night sky was filled with stars, however he wasn't doing this for idle chit chat, but rather to teach Verith a lesson on life. Virgil began to explain that everything happens for a reason, and that nothing should be rushed, as it could lead to unintended consequences. Verith asked his older brother what he meant, to which Virgil replied, stating that Verith should learn to control his adventurous side. With this in mind, Verith began to realize the error of his ways, returning inside with his brother to apologize to his parents. 

 Later in Verith's life, his parents would inform him of an academy established for teaching Pokemon like him, Pokemon who showed that they were academically gifted. They asked him his opposition on possibly attending the academy, to which he replied happily, though he did his best to hide his joy, as it seemed out of character to him. He then asked why they brought it up, to which his father replied, telling his son that they felt it was time that he studied in a new environment that would offer him a higher education than his current school. Feeling as though this was an opportunity of a lifetime, he began to pack up his things, taking with him a journal that Virgil gave him, as well as a few post cards in case he needed to write home. With all of these things with him, Verith set off to try and attend St. Mortiel, hoping that this change in pace for his life would make his parents proud, as well as give him new experiences towards his future.

 Despite the numerous trials thrown his way, both physically and emotionally, Verith had made it through his first year at the academy, though things had changed. Rather than being the confident Treecko he'd entered in as, the young Grovyle had become more or less detached with others, keeping things to himself more often, as well as vanishing for quite some time each day after school. While nothing truly seemed wrong, something was definitely off. Sadly he's yet to figure out what that is.

 However with the passage of time and a regaining of composure, Verith has come to more or less accept where his life at the academy stands, simply striving forward towards new heights, as well as attempting to be a bit less reclusive and more social towards others. That said he still seems to hole himself up in his room for studying and research purposes.

 -Energy Ball ( TM ): The user draws power from nature and fires it at the target. It may also lower the target's Sp. Def.

 -Dragon Breath ( egg move ): The user exhales a mighty gust that inflicts damage. It may also leave the target with paralysis.
 -Giga Drain ( Tutor ): A nutrient-draining attack. The user's HP is restored by half the damage taken by the target.
 -Solar Beam ( TM Bought ): A two-turn attack. The user gathers light, then blasts a bundled beam on the second turn.
 - Grass Pledge ( Tutor ): A column of grass hits opposing Pokémon. When used with its water equivalent, its damage increases into a vast swamp.
 - Hidden Power ( TM Bought ): A unique attack that varies in type depending on the Pokémon using it.
    *In Verith's case, his hidden power takes the form of flaming discs that can be launched at his opponents for a fiery impact.

 -Thanks to the inspiration of a certain vanilla vixen, Verith has regained some control over Energy Ball, though he'r still got a ways to go until he masters the attack.
 -Being a Grovyle, Verith's claws are well equipped for climbing surfaces that he can grip to. This can vary from the bark of a tree to a brick wall. Granted, whenever he scales a surface small holes are left behind, being more noticeable in softer surfaces.
 -Aside from reading books and listening to music, Verith also enjoys baking sweets ranging from cookies to cakes. Though he considers it a hobby, his siblings sometimes tell him it could be a career for him in the future.
 -The leaf atop his head does seem to react to his emotions, often drooping when he's depressed, standing upright when he's surprised/scared, and sometimes just swaying for no reason. Also it should be noted that it becomes sensitive the further you get to the tip.
 -Has a pen-pal whom he keeps in contact with, not to mention may have a slight crush on. 
 -The pink streak in his hair is permanent unless he decides to cut it...however he'll just dye it again.
 -Often pulls his scarf over his mouth when he's nervous, flustered, or feeling uneasy.

 -The quickest way to tell he's bothered by something is when he taps his claws together.

 -In terms of cooking, Verith is no stranger to the culinary arts and has developed his own personal style of cooking, giving dishes a certain flare that symbolizes his passion towards cooking.
 -His culinary life began when he watched his mother and grandmother cooking at the age of 3. Since then he's studied the culinary arts in an attempt to help around the house.
 -Despite how he may appear, Verith is very nimble, able to traverse the ground or trees in a swift, agile manner. Granted he prefers to only do so in battle or when exploring places void of people such as forests.
