And then people get surprised when their parents or employers suddenly know really personal things about them.

Reminds me of this one time some stupid mother post a youtube video of her driving her car while holding the baby in her lap. << However the police found her and press charges for such an act.

Yeah it's funny how typing something and sending it online is somehow easier to do than yelling it in public... but has the same effect most of the time. XD

I question what horrors or unneeded info you came across online.

For me it's mostly people spewing their opinions over trivial matters.

Eh, but see, the information is only available to either people you've selected to be privy to it, or people who go looking for it. Yelling in the street is kinda' the opposite of that.

Well said, Booker, well said. ^^; This is why I don't like being vulgar and rude, especially on the 'net.

Hahah I'm pretty open online, but in a joking way for the most part. I have my opinions and the like but I don't -think- anything I post is overly crude, I hope.

I do see a lot of people on Facebook posting hateful material, drunk photos, even use of illegal substances, all of which is a bit much. It IS very easy for employers to gain access to those things, in fact, there are companies that make huge profits simply by releasing info from private social profiles.

Exactly - privacy is not as private as some would like to think. :z

Yeah, that seems pretty accurate. And you don't even have to do it on things generally dubbed social networks, but the ones that do probably have you being watched by your parents or the like. (Which is part of the reason I dislike those sites. Privacy please?)
