Hiya! I remember you making nice comments on my stuff ages ago :3

The cake was a one-night illustration made with lots of sugar, to get the site launched on dribbble. I designed the original shot at... 800x600, so the cake is really small :( no decent icon to be given.

The best I can offer is a 256px version, but it will look ugly because that is twice the intended final size and so I did not pay much attention to detail. Still, if you want, here you go [link]

And, no PSD, remember, I work in GIMP ;)

Er... thanks :) I have sort of abandoned dA recently though... you will find lots of recent icons on my dribbble page though! I have almost completed my "real" website, which will include redone versions of a lot of older icons like this one, but until then you can check out dribbble.com/ollin to see stuff.
Blender Replacement
commented on 's profile
Made it in GIMP; I started by drawing paths with the paths tool for each of the different colors, then used them as masks on a solid-fill layer so that I had a flat-color image. Then, I duplicated those masked layers, and took out the solid fill. I set the blending mode to overlay. Then, I drew paths where I want the highlights and shadows to be, made them into a selection and then used a gradient fill within that to add the vector-looking highlights. I did that a couple hundred times, using black and white gradients, on overlay mode, within path-based selections, on layers with masks.

Then, I added some textures and smooth shadows where they were needed.
