Fragment archive 2012-2016 by C-JR Fragment archive 2012-2016 by C-JR
Fragments of fractals and non-fractal scenes that I was done in Fragmentarium since 2012.
link for program download

Archive is divided:
0.9.12 - fragments made in Fragmentarium version 0.9.12. Fixed for using with version 1.0.0. Fragments contain more than one preset.
1.0.0 - divided by years, all render files are stored in their own folder with the same name, one folder has one preset for rendering.
anim - some short animations

Strongly recommend use version of program from the link above, because this version has no UI slider limits and you will got undistorted scene.
The names of renderer files could match, but have changes.
This package include most of all my renders made on different hardware (GPU), tested compatibility Nvidia->Ati, Ati->Nvidia. Nvidia has no problems with some GLSL inaccuracy, Ati-AMD more demanding of the correct syntax.
Some scenes (IBL, GI, last DE) required textures (background, heightmap, etc.), some paths deleted from presets because Fragmentarium crashed when texture in "default" preset lost.
See bonus folder with textures used for last renders ;) (Wink)  All textures is stock.

I express deep gratitude to developer Mikael Hvidtfeldt Christensen aka Syntopia, KnightyKaliEiffieSCORPION3dickulusPatryk KiznyMclarekinTimemitDark-beamElenaLightMBenesiSabine62 and all community on fractalforums.com and russian fractal community on demiart.ru
It would not be possible without all of you! w00t!

Don't forgot about TDR registry keys (see Fragmentarium FAQ) for normal work on Windows
When you will run fragments, camera rotation can be moved, so press 'Apply' preset again
Some Ati-AMD cards don't correctly works with GI render (glass material is opaque)

Good lord!  *choke!*  I love hate love hate love you but you know I'm trying to ease off on the crystal and what the hell did you do before you did this... sell smack to schoolchildren?  Honestly, you're a hazard (but a great one!)

Feel free to make fractals with this pack. Good luck!

Oh, we've been busy, particularly with the most awesome 08-PKL_hybrid.frag.  Let's see if you can spot it at around 2:30 in this video...

Story?  Last year my "Hello!" video snippet to the MandelManiacs group went viral, on that guy's page, it's now at 7.2M or something.  This spring he gives me a shout, "WeneedvideoclipsfastandBAD! Can we use...."  I said, progress, lookee here...

So now a certain UK music producer owes me a minor favor, which I hope to use in getting some attention to some of the REAL artists in the group, those perpetually unem-and under-employed high-functioning aspie types who are so so good at this sort of stuff.  So here all in one is news, my most sincere thanks, a deep bow, and a vow to really seriously tackle GLSL programming and quit just zooming around.

I rarely go here ) I'm sorry for not having replied.
Saw your works. And very glad that somebody works in Fragmentarium too! Very nice and colorful renders!

Thanks!  Your examples have been invaluable.  I think you're going to love what I've done with your f17_37.frag.  It's the basis for the flower-garden animation I just posted.  I'm gonna let my ego slip for a bit here and say I'm pretty pleased with myself.  Haven't programmed a thing in ten years and managed to sus all this out in under a month just from the code, mostly your code.  You've been a great teacher.

Спасибо, и я не представляю что будет когда ты возьмёшься за фрагментариум, т.к. то что ты вытворяешь с апо/хаотикой потрясающе! И каждый раз что-то новенькое )

Very welcome )
I began to use wang hash since Syntopia posted the code on fractalforums.
New dif added as option in my version of DE-Kn (since you posted the code)
So, maybe you have the same formula for polygon shaped diaphragm? Knighty's code from 3D.frag:
vec2 NGonDisc(vec2 co) {
vec2 r = rand2(co);
float d=1./tan(PI/float(ApertureNbrSides));
float lh=1./sqrt(1.+d*d);
vec2 p=vec2(r.x+r.y, r.x-r.y);
if(!ApStarShaped) p.x=1.-abs(p.x-1.);
p.x*=d;
p*=lh;
float a=dot(rand2(11.*co+vec2(1.,1.)),vec2(1.,1.));
a=floor(a*float(ApertureNbrSides))*2.*PI/float(ApertureNbrSides) + ApertureRot*PI/360.;
vec2 cs= vec2(cos(a), sin(a));
p= vec2(cs.x*p.x-cs.y*p.y, cs.x*p.y+cs.y*p.x);
return p;
}

if i recall correctly i made the suggestion on fractalforums, could be wrong though :) i've tried to find the post i recalled making, but didn't succeed. as for the dof, maybe i'm mistaking it for another thing i posted on FF too... sorry for the confusion ^^;

83.7 MB !!! Awesome! this inspires me to do something similar to archive my collection of experiments and settings, we should develop a repository or something for this stuff ;)

Most of that big size - textures in bonus folder Giggle
I have another idea - online transformer for hybrid fractals Wink/Razz  But repository will great too!
p.s. Some last ideas for pay attention from classic formulas to more experiments. Maybe will post topic on forums (if somebody interested):
1. Random basic shapes for iterated fractals, I think it will be cool I am a dummy!
2. Hazy, sand, fuzzy forms -
Fragmentarium ables to do amazing effects. A topic that deserves special attention.

Online transform: I had something similar in mind but then offline :} Now coding all the transforms into a formula is so much work and you have to do it Everytime plus it makes formulas Slow!!! And for most it is just a matter of inserting code in the right place, choosing them to be either pre- or normal transform, maybe with their own setting for iterations... Sounds like something that can be automated. How great would it be to be able to use transforms like we use #define now?! Just load them into your frag and when no longer needed throw them out. It is possible in other programs to just combine about anything, so... :)

And yesyes, post Everything, I most of the times Like your ideas :D:D:D
The random basic shapes... I adore Inigo Quilez's ray-marching shapes!
Haze and sand and fuzzzz: those are the best and Fragmentarium can render those like no other

Need some engine (on/offine not matter) that will have basic fractal algorithms and will mix them ) Oh, and need programmer.

About haze and sand - take a look at
FragArchive\1.0.0\2013\f15_01.bmp Files f15_11, f
15_12 and f16_16 too :D
