Good morning guys!
Well, yes. I'm little ashamed- I just noticed, that almost four years have passed since my last journal. That's super scary and probably needs some deeper reflection, but let's get to the point.
I may have been absent during this time, but in fact DA played major role in something very important to my life that happened not that long ago. I got married! And you know what? DA is the very place where we exchanged our first messages. It's even where we arranged our first meeting, 1685 days ago :)
And look where are we now :)
Thank you Deviant Art. Who knows if I'd ever meet my Amber Lady without you :)
After almost seven months my journey came to an end. I finally returned home. It was more than two weeks ago and I still can't pull myself out of this whirlwind of craziness, meetings, things that have to be handled :) I'm constantly trying to shift my focus and time priorities towards photography. I'm doing some progress.. :)
As I wrote in my previous journal, my old fellow, Nikon d50 met it's fate. I could feel that coming. Nikon had around 47 thousand shutter releases- that's 17k more than producer gives warranty for. But it was tougher than I thought. It wasn't shutter failure what ended it's history. It was raging December storm with it
Greetings from Atlantic Ocean.
It is more than four months now since I left home. Yet the journey goes on, we are on our way to Sumerians land..
During past few months I had chance to witness some extraordinary sights, scenes, light. Unfortunately I had no equipment to properly record those moments. My good old Nikon D50 (which I had for 7 years) was lost in one of December storms.. Until recently I had only simple point and shoot camera. I would like to share those photos with you anyway. Should I? :)
Besides photographing I'm also working on video project documenting my trip. It's fun!
Take care :)
I'm on my way to Eemshaven, where I'm about to climb up my ship ladder and then sail- whoever knows where. I've spent past three months wisely (as long as it's ok for you to call chaos and craziness this way), but intense. I don't regret anything. Too bad I have to leave it all for some time. I will miss little daily habits, places, things. But the people are what I'll miss the most.. And believe me, I had luck to met some precious ones.
Anyway.. This time I have primary gear with me. I hope to take some interesting photos :)
Take care everyone. See you in summer.
Hello everyone! I'm back :)
During last six months I have sailed through two oceans, few seas, numerous gulfs and canals.. Be prepared for some maritime photography :D On the other hand I am sooooooo happy to be home again, I can't wait to visit and photograph all those beautiful meadows, woods, rivers etc etc that we have here :) Stay tuned for some new works!
