Love this, having the water to catch the reflection is pretty cool. Been trying out a few shots with this effect but none by the water yet. May I ask how you added in the blue light on this? Claire

Hi Claire,
The blue light was a small LED torch attached to the chain as it was swung around, interesting effect isnt it?
I loved the fireball you did, it's fun but watch your hair lol. (I got some sparks in mine) or your brothers hair lol.
:)

Oh wow, very clever! thanks for getting back to me. We will have to experiment a bit more with this effect. Just got my first DSLR so trying out lots of things I struggled to do with basic digital one.
I was worried about my hair...and my scarf. First time I did it I was surprised at how many bits of wool come flying off!
Claire :D

No worries,
stuff like this is all about experimentation. I wanna go back and re-visit it too.
It's good fun and the results are fab!

What are you using to create the light, because it looks fantastic!
Reply
:iconbusterbrownbb:
BusterBrownBB Featured By Owner Nov 3, 2011  Hobbyist Photographer
It was wire wool, a small cage on a chain to hold the wool and a heavy protective jacket :)

It is really good fun and and interesting excersize - better to have another body there to help and also beware where you do it as the sparks go everywhere and can start a fire. If you do give it a go would love to see the pics, :)
